Mid-Life Love by Whitney G
This book is definitely not what I expected. At all. Claire Grayson is fresh of a divorce from a husband who committed the ultimate betrayal and left Claire broken and questioning who and what she can trust to be real.
Jonathan Statham is the LAST thing Claire expects to drop into her life and once he does he turns her world upside down. The man does NOT take no for an answer- ever. I loved him like crazy.
The relationship between Claire and Jonathan is explosive, romantic, risky and nothing like anything either of them have ever experienced with anyone else before. So why does Claire fight it for so long?
My one and only complaint about this book is how annoying Claire could be when she JUST could not get over the age difference between herself and Jonathan and how aggravating she could be in certain situations where she was overly calm and rational in others. I kind of questioned her mental stability at certain times. I do NOT like the part where she begged Jonathan to forgive her and behaved like a lunatic, whereas she had never acted like that in any way prior to that- it seemed out of place for her character.
I still highly recommend the book, as the banter and overall story, as well as the character development- especially Jonathan, who gets 3 of the stars alone for being super hot. I am still giving it a 4.0 out of 5.0 stars for being a greatly entertaining read. <3 Kellie
