I was instantly dragged in! The way this book starts works wonders on your curiosity... It sparks intrigue and it makes you want to read faster! It started a little darker than I had expected but nonetheless it was a perfect set up for Mia's character and introduction; without it we wouldn't have wanted to wrap her in cotton wool.
Upon meeting Mia I felt so bad for her, I continually sympathised with her and I was willing her to find the strength that I felt she so desperately needed. I had tears in my eyes reading what she went through. I couldn't wait to find out what was coming next for her, not just with Jordan but with everything. I couldn't read fast enough! The more I read about her the more I wanted to wrap her up in cotton wool and just keep her safe. Sad, I know- it's fictional but it's so true and can actually happen in real life and that makes it hit deeper and makes you feel exactly what she's saying and feeling. Jordan Matthews- what can I say? Upon meeting him i loved him in 6.8 seconds flat! Sexy, funny, tattooed and a cocky attitude to boot... But He's caring and sweet too! I was ready to shout at my phone to tell him to tread carefully with Mia, she's as fragile as a piece of candy floss. Even with his own problems, he is amazing with Mia; he's considerate and thoughtful and not too pushy. I loved Jordan's POV when the book switched to his parts; I laughed so much at the things he said to himself, God I just love him... Loads! It is one the best male POV's I've ever read, honestly, you'll LOVE it; I haven't laughed so hard at a guy and his dog in my life... I could read a never ending book on just those two! To say I loved this book would be an understatement! The emotions it pulls from you right from the start is priceless. I was rooting for them both all the way through... It's a true page turner! There are gut wrenching moments, tears, laughter, fun times, twists and turns you don't see coming... The "OMG what is gonna happen next" moments had my heart pounding, and of course the hot moments- wow, those... Ah-may-zing! It leaves you wanting more! This book has jumped straight into one of my favourites, not only because of Jordan being one of the best book boyfriends, but because of the storyline, and everything I felt as I read it.

Synopsis

 November 18, 2013
Mia Monroe is running. Running from a person she doesn’t ever want to find her. Running from a past she doesn’t ever want anyone to know. Desperate to find a future, that yesterday, she could only dream of having.

Jordan Matthews likes easy. Easy women. Easy life.

Then he meets Mia.

She’s damaged, troubled and has more baggage than any person can carry. But the more Jordan gets to know Mia-for the first time in his life-he finds himself wanting to try hard for something … for someone … for her.

And then life isn’t so easy anymore.

Jordan is everything Mia shouldn’t want. A whole bunch of dirty hotness, tattooed, cocky bad boy, who made his money at poker tables and picked his women up in bars. Yet, Mia finds herself falling for him. Then the past Mia was running from, quickly starts to catch up with her. Because that’s the problem with running … you have to stop sometime.

And when you stop, you get caught.
