Ava and Rylee had the same plans. Knowing the home life Rylee had, Ava knew that all of those dreams of fun and freedom would always be just that. Dreams. That was until one night, Rylee asked Ava to pinky promise they would move away as soon as they were old enough and able to.

Ava's advice to Rylee is to have fun and have faith, but most of all believe in herself and learn to trust that not all guys can't be trusted... But can Ava learn to take herself own advice when it comes to her own heart?

This book is intended for age 17+ due to sexual content, violence and strong language.

EXCERPT:

I didn’t think too much into it as I stood and walked around the chair to where he was standing, without saying another word to me, Ryder grabbed my hand and pulled me through the doors leading me down the hallway and around the corner; it was so dark in this part of the club I could barely see. He stopped, pushing me against the wall bringing his hands up to cage me in.
“I want you to feel me, I have drove myself crazy in there with my own thoughts.” He said in a low tone that sent a shiver through me from head to toe.
My breathing was getting shorter and my heart beat got faster; even in the dark I could tell his eyes were boring into mine. I could feel the lust radiating from us both, all coherent thoughts had left my mind the moment he grabbed my hand back in the room.
Bringing his face down to mine he whispered “Don’t think too much, baby. Just feel.”
I nodded, it was all I could do. He lowered one arm and snaked it around my waist pulling me into him, I reached up and hooked my arms around his neck. Before I could think too much about who could walk past and see us his mouth crashed against mine, I traced his bottom lip with my tongue giving him access to my mouth and I heard him groan. Fuck, that’s a sexy sound. Pushing my hand on the back of his neck to deepen the kiss he consumed my mouth, kissing me back with all he had. I was already aching for him.
He brought his hands down between my legs. “You feel ready for me, sexy.” I could sense his smirk.
Bringing his hands around, he grabbed my ass and lifted me, I wrapped my legs around his waist and could feel his arousal pressing against me. I dropped my hand down needing to touch him, with one hand I undid the button on his jeans and lowered the zipper. I heard his breath catch as my fingers touched him, I smiled knowing the effect I was having on him.
I brought my mouth to his ear. “Ryder, please.”

Lifers by Jane Harvey-Berrick Review

Lifers by Jane Harvey-Berrick

I enjoyed this story, it was very heart felt. I truly felt for Jordan, he paid is dues in the eyes of the law but not the eyes of his family or community. What happened to Jordan was an accident but not everyone sees it that way! He thinks his life is worth much until he meets Torrey in the local diner. Torrey is the towns Reverends daughter who some see is the local s**t, who has moved in with her mum dude to a bad break up. Torrey and Jordan start off as friends, but Jordan is having trouble living. He slowly opens up and their relationship blossoms. Love is in the air but also where there is love there is also pain. But it isn't Jordan and Torrey who hurt each other. Jordan runs into a group of trouble and ends in hospital. Forgiveness takes a hold of his live and relationships start to mend. You have to feel during this book, my stomach a few times and shed a tear. Lovely story. <3 Amy

About the Author:

I lived in London for over 10 years and have a love affair with New York. It's only since I have moved to the countryside, that the words have really begun to flow.

I live in a small village by the ocean and walk my little dog, Pip, every day. It’s on those beachside walks that I have all my best ideas.

Writing has become a way of life – and one that I love to share.

Review: Within this deeply descriptive book you learn the deep dark issues of both Hayden and Samantha. They both have a past that has cast deep personal issues that prevent them from moving on to a loving relationship until they meet each other.
Sam starts a temp job as Hayden's secretary, and things heat up between them.  They both fight the sexual tension but they can only hold out for so long. Once the tension is broken their relationship starts it's very own rollercoster ride. Issues get in the way, as does miscommunications. After a near fateful mistake both Hayden and Sam lay their cards on the table and learn together to take the next step.

It was heartbreaking when Sam's past came back to hurt her, and Hayden's reaction was understood considering what he had been through with his ex-girlfriend. I would have liked to have seen more of her though.
The author just kept throwing heartbreak at you! Once you thought Sam and Hayden were in a good place, BOOM, heartbreak. It made me cry, you can't help but truly feel their pain. The couple has a nice ending that you will have to read to love. <3 Amy

Meet The Author

I’m a Hispanic living in South Florida with my redneck husband from Texas and our “half breed” son, who is actually the reason I started writing again after years of celibacy. My son loves stories, but not the kind you can read in an existing book. No, he’d rather make up a story, complete with our own illustrations. So, thank you, Son, for igniting a flame I had let go out.

I also live with two dogs: a neurotic Border Collie we call Nitro and a midget Rottweiler named Nisa.
I have always found my sanctuary at the beach and in music and writing. I wish I could write rhymes so I could become a famous rapper, but rhyming is completely lost on me.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Master’s in Human Resource Management. I have held several jobs, from picking up dog crap to upper management positions. And now I am hoping to leave the business world behind so I can live full time in a world that does not exist until I place my fingers on.
