Synopsis
I don’t know what I was thinking when I hired someone to attack me. Maybe I was bored, or lonely, or there was a void so deep inside of me that I needed something explosive to fill it. It was supposed to be safe. A thrill. A way to break through the monotony of everyday life. It was an illusion of danger that I could walk away from as soon as it was over. Except that it wasn’t. Because I had been in danger long before I ever invited it into my life. ——————— My mission is almost complete. The bubbling boil of vengeance that heats my blood might finally simmer. She is the last piece of the puzzle. Once I destroy her, everyone who ever hurt me will have paid their debt. It was supposed to be quick and easy, but as soon as I met her it got complicated. Very complicated.

She kicks off her shoes and pulls off her sweater, and I admire the curves of her body in her white tank top and tight jeans. Her tits are perfect, full but still perky, and right now her nipples are hard, poking right through the thin material of her tank. Her ass is round and tight. Her body has changed over the years, filling out in all the right places. My dick throbs thinking about the things I would do to her. Now if this bitch would just go to the bedroom, I could get started. Her living room window faces the main street and she will scream. Her bedroom, on the other hand, is towards the back of the house and faces the backyard. Wrestling on a bed is much quieter than in a living room full of lamps and bookshelves filled with random bullshit. How many fucking knickknacks does one human being require? Is that a porcelain cat? Honestly, I’m putting her out of her misery. She should thank me. Anyway, I want to take my time with her, so I need to wait just a little bit longer. Shit, I’ve already waited fourteen years. I cannot believe this shit, she’s turning on her stereo. What is this godforsaken tripe she’s listening to? Of course, fucking Backstreet Boys. I can’t help but smile a little when she dances. She’s so carefree right now. She thinks she’s safe. But she doesn’t understand that tonight is the night she dies.

“Why is it just standing there?” The memories of her dream creeped up on her. “I’ve seen it before.” It came out in a whisper. Jace reached for her blanket and laid it across her shivering shoulders. She pulled it tightly around her, searching for a form of comfort. “In my dreams, Jace, that wolf is in my dreams. I know because of the silver over its eye.” Her eyes went wide and stared up into her brother’s face. “It can’t be.” “I know what I saw.” Fire shot through her eyes at the thought of her brother doubting her. “That’s the wolf in my dreams. It’s always there, in every single one. Why?” The long low howl caused her to jump away from the window. “I don’t know, M&M, I don’t know. Maybe it has something to do with Dad.” His golden-brown eyes looked over at her wall. The mural had been there for years; it had been studied and memorized by the both of them, especially since their parents died. In the far distance of the forest there was a wolf sleeping. Magnolia had always thought it was sweet that her father had painted animals in the forest, but the wolf was the only one sleeping. “It is right there. Right there in front of you this entire time. Maybe Dad was trying to tell you something.” “Tell me what? That I would have awful dreams about a wolf? Jace, that doesn’t…” Her voice trailed off as she walked to the mural and crouched down before it. The wolf in the painting had the same silver mark. “Tell me what, Jace?” Her voice raised. He sat next to her. “Maybe we need to start going through their things in the attic. Maybe he had a journal or something.” She knew from the tone of her brother’s voice that there was something else. Something he was not telling her. “Jace, what do you know?” The muscle in his jaw clenched then relaxed. “When we were younger, Dad used to tell us legends of his people. He loved to tell you about a young girl who was thought to save them from a life of being outcasts, running from place to place. A girl who had a wolf for a guardian. She was supposed to save them all. She was their princess. Though they had no kingdom, they were forced to travel from place to place, searching for a land to call their own. Something happened to her, but I don’t remember what. It was something terrible, and the wolf has been searching for her ever since.” “The wolf never died?” An eyebrow shot up into the air skeptically. “It’s a legend, M&M. What do you expect?” He shrugged his shoulders and leaned against the wall. “What if that wolf has really been searching for her all this time?”   Playlist

My life has never been perfect. I lost, I lied, I cried. But there was one thing that I thought would stay with me forever — my love…
Adrian was my everything. The day he died, I died with him. It was like being caught up in a nightmare, with no reason to keep breathing, with nothing to hold on to.
But one day, everything changed.  I didn’t know I was lost until the moment Nic found me. He made me laugh, he made me feel, he made me believe that I could love again. I thought I would never feel alive, but then I looked into his eyes and I was lost. Only this time, it was not a nightmare swallowing me, but a beautiful dream coming true.
Just when I thought there was no hope for tomorrow, my heart found a reason to beat faster…

Release Blitz - Teach Me by Sloan Johnson

Title: Teach Me
Author: Sloan Johnson
Genre: Adult, Gay Romance
Published: December 2, 2014
Two words stripped Austin Pritchard of the privileged life he’s used to. The moment he uttered the words, “I’m gay,” he realized there is no such thing as unconditional love. Now, he’s gone from traveling the world with his family to living on the streets trying to figure out how he’s going to stay in school.

A chance opportunity changes everything. Austin impresses the foreman and lands a job, but even more, he catches the eye of David Becker, who is determined to teach him that true love doesn’t come with strings.

The only thing David had as a child was love. His family struggled to keep food on the table and a roof over their heads. That has driven him to stay focused on his goals; become a tenured professor at a university and save enough money to build a home of his own. It’s not until he sees an insecure college student working on his new house that he realizes that he hasn’t planned on someone to share his life with. He’s about to learn that everything he’s already accomplished is nothing compared to the task of making Austin see that he is worthy of love.

David overturns two buckets and sits on one of them. I cautiously follow suit and sit on the other. “Were you serious last night when you told Bill that you were interested in working for him this summer?” David asks.
“Yes, sir,” I respond, wondering why he’s asking me this. It’s not like it matters to him, but the way he leans in as he talks to me, I start to feel like he truly cares.
“Austin, you don’t have to call me sir. I’m just David, okay?” I nod and find a spot on the floor to hold my attention because I’m terrified to look into his eyes. He’s too close, too friendly, and already he makes me want things I shouldn’t with him. “Good. Now, I want you to come to dinner with me tonight.”
I stand so quickly that I kick the bucket out from behind me. Everything I’ve been thinking about David is obviously way the fuck off base because now he’s trying to bribe me. Fuck that. I storm down the driveway, ready to give up the only opportunity I’ve had to save myself because I’m not going to let anyone play games with me. Before I make it halfway to the street, David’s hand is wrapped around my arm, pulling me back.
The urge to spin around and deliver a jab to his chiseled jaw is somewhere just below the surface. I clench my eyes closed, taking a few breaths as I remind myself there’s no one to bail me out of jail if I do hit him and he presses charges.
“Get. Your hands. Off of me.” Rather than listen to my demand, David’s grip tightens when I try to jerk away from him. Now, I’m pissed. I turn on my heel and shove David away. “I don’t know what fucked up game you’re playing, but I’m not about to be your little bitch boy. If me working for Bill depends on me being at your beck and call, tell Bill I’ll find something else. I’m not a whore.
David stuffs his hands in the pockets of his oh-so-sexy, perfectly distressed jeans. And the arrogant fuck looks as if he’s about to laugh at me.
“Is that what you truly believe I am trying to do?” David asks. I swallow hard, regretting saying anything. No, I don’t really think David’s trying to buy me, but no other scenario makes any sense. “Austin, look at me.”
The tip of his finger crooks beneath my chin, forcing me to lift my gaze. What I see terrifies me more than the thought of trading my body for a job. David seems genuinely hurt by my accusation. Rather than apologize, I walk away. I’m not running this time, but I have to get someplace where I can sit before my knees buckle beneath me.
I sit on a boulder beside the house and David pushes me over as he settles back as well. “Austin, what is this about? Have I done something to offend you or make you feel uncomfortable?”
Has he? No. Yes. Fuck, I don’t know anymore. If I sit back and really think about it, he’s been nothing but kind to me. “No. Don’t mind me, it’s been a rough month and I’m a bit stressed.” I chew at the inside of my lip to stop myself from saying anything else. David can’t know why I’m stressed. Yes, I’m ashamed of my life as it is right now, but if no one else knows, I don’t have to see the pity in their eyes.

Sloan Johnson is a big city girl trapped in a country girl’s life. While she longs for the hustle and bustle of New York City or Las Vegas, she hasn’t yet figured out how to sit on the deck with her morning coffee, watching the deer and wild turkeys in the fields while surrounded by concrete and glass.

When she was three, her parents received their first call from the principal asking them to pick her up from school. Apparently, if you aren’t enrolled, you can’t attend classes, even in Kindergarten. The next week, she was in preschool and started plotting her first story soon after.

Later in life, her parents needed to do something to help their socially awkward, uncoordinated child come out of her shell and figured there was no better place than a bar on Wednesday nights. It’s a good thing they did because this is where she found her love of reading and writing. Who needs socialization when you can sit alone in your bedroom with a good book?

Now, Sloan is a tattooed mom with a mohawk and two kids. She’s been kicked out of the PTA in two school districts and is no longer asked to help with fundraisers because she’s been known to lose herself with a good book and forget she has somewhere to be.

You’re the Kevlar…
Behind the badge and the pretty face was a heart. A heart that bled just like the rest. A heart that was so in love with Viddy Sheffield that it was humiliating. Trance had been burned before by a woman that couldn’t handle the fact that he risked his life each and every time he went on shift. She was too vulnerable; somehow he had to convince his heart to let her go. His life would chew her up and spit her out.
To My…
Viddy couldn’t get the man out of her head. Just the thought of Trance put a smile on her face. And when he walked into the same room? Words couldn’t explain. God help her, but she was even in a relationship with another man. She shouldn’t be thinking about the sexy biker with the voice that made shivers dance down her spine.
Vest…
Then the unthinkable happens, and the sexy cop she can’t stop thinking about is there for her, giving her what she never knew she needed. One moment in time, and she finds herself falling for the man, lock, stock, and barrel. The two of them have a lot of work to do to make this relationship succeed. What they didn’t know, however, was that there were people behind the scenes that were working to keep them apart. Sometimes the saying is true. You can’t always have what you want.
I’m a married mother of three. My kids are all under 5, so I can assure you that they are a handful. I’ve been with my paramedic husband now for ten years, and we’ve produced three offspring that are nothing like us. I live in the greatest state in the world, Texas.
