About Amie Nichols
AmieNichols
I live in Iowa with my amazing, supportive husband. He is my rock and my king, and treats me like all women should be treated. (Like a spoiled Queen.) I have two miniature dachshund's that are my babies, and they love to keep me company when I am writing away on my next WIP. I'm about to publish my 6th book, and can hardly believe how my life has changed. I'm called an author, and still can't believe it. I've have met some amazing women in my journey so far, and have learned so much. (Sometimes the hard way.) I've been like a sponge soaking up all the information I can on how the publishing world works. It's been a roller coaster ride so far with its ups and its downs. No matter what, I will never regret anything I've done. You can't succeed if you don't try, and if you don't try you won't succeed. One of my favorite quotes is, "If the dream is big enough the facts don't matter". Some other info about me: I love my family, friends, wine, and anything caffeinated. I also love writing HEA. For the same reason I won't watch a movie that I know will make me cry, (with the exception of Steel Magnolias) I will never write a book without an HEA. There might be a few twists and turns, a cliffhanger or two, but ultimately my stories will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy inside. For me, reading is entertainment, a way to escape this crazy insane world. If a book leaves me feeling sad, mad or gut wrenched, it is not for me. There is enough gut-wrenching sadness in this world, I don't need to read about it too. I started writing 3 years ago, and have no plans on stopping. So keep your eye on me, because with the help of some amazing people, and my wonderful fans, this girl is going to be on the New York Times best selling list someday.

Excerpt – Alek

I stalk toward her, bend down and pull her body toward the edge of the bed so that I’m situated between her legs. Long, dark hair trails along the bed behind her, and together with her little black tank top dress,  I  can’t  stop the hard on raging through me. Vanilla drifts into my nostrils, a scent she prefers and sometimes chooses to couple with an apple-scented perfume—a combination that drives me wild with lust and need for her; things that are hard to describe. Even though tension surrounds our marital plans, there’s not a damn thing strained about our sex life. “This hotel makes the 300-year-old mansions back home in Louisiana look young and fresh,”Erin says, glancing around the room. She’s right. Venice reeks of history and ancient battles—things that my sister Adriana adores—but that is something that has always made life a little more challenging for me back in school; history. Nevertheless, I can still appreciate the Floating City’seclectic beauty. “The designer in me is going wild right now,” she continues, a dreamy expression on her face.“So is the man who loves her,”  I  say,  my gaze locked on Eric’s face.  In return,  I  get  a beaming smile, and then she bites down on the corner of her lower lip, her look mischievously wicked.“I know that look, my horny Maestro.”
“Is that right? What is this look?” I ask while grinding my sex against the inside of her right thigh. Her pink lips part and just that tiny response from her sends me spiraling over the edge. Idon’t think I can wait until we get back from our meeting with the Fenice’s owners tonight. I needErin as much as I need a good bowl of Pelmeni, a popular pastry back home in Mother Russia that’s filled with meat.“That is you misbehaving as usual,” she says, grinning. I grasp her arms and pull her up against my chest. “Is that right? What do you intend toabout my, er, behavior problem?”“Hmm. Let me see. I’ll have to think of a really good punishment.” Lowering her mouth to myneck, she starts nibbling and kissing the exposed area on my chest, working her way up to the skin underneath my chin, teasing my lips with warm breath from in between hers. Then, finally, her  lips land on that  spot  on the side of  my neck,  the skin over  my jugular.  The combined, sensation of her hot breath and the way she sucks my skin shoots straight through my body.“This is how we wind up not leaving the room,” I whisper against her ear, inhaling the scent of freshly washed hair.“If we miss our appointment with Frederico,” she begins, easing her assault on my neck, moving  back  so she’s  now perched  on  her  knees  at  the  edge of  the  bed  and  focusing  on unfastening the belt on my trousers, “then more punishment will be necessary.”“Don’t tempt me, Signorina Angelo,” I warn, slinking a hand through her dark hair and pulling it the slightest bit so she’s glancing up at me, her dark eyes contrasting with the pink of her lips. Images of that perfect mouth wrapped around my sex while those deliciously dark eyes glance into mine, reflecting all the love and loyalty I know she holds in her heart just for me, drive me wild with desire. “You might find I rather enjoy your punishment.”
“Noted, Sir Bad Boy Maestro.” She smiles, dips her head and takes all of me into her mouth, ripping all  thoughts of  negativity from within my head. Instead, I  choose to lose myself—that deepest part of my soul I’ve never allowed anyone to own—inside the warm embrace of  the woman I love.

Author Bio:
Author of the Lost Immortals Saga and the Seraphine Trilogy, I'm also a mother, blogger, reader, gardener, home renovator, and a slayer of Egyptian mummies in Tomb Raider. I believe in karma, coffee, and seriously wish that the producers of Xena would bring my favorite show ever back.I was born in the race-car city of Charlotte, NC, and now live in the City of Alchemy and Medicine,NC, when I'm not hanging out in Bardonia (Lost Immortals). Most of my characters are based on people that I've met throughout my travels and adventures. People tend to stop and start conversations with me as if I've known them my entire life. Does this freak me out? Not really. My mom says that one day I'll get kidnapped by one of them. I told her that if it weren't for these lovely people then I wouldn't be able to create the stories that I do.I have many favorite authors but there are some who truly rock my socks: Octavia Butler, Anne Rice, Kami Garcia, J.K. Rowling, Dean Koontz (on his good-book days), Stephen King (same as DK) Ann Radcliffe, Mary Shelley, Elizabeth Kostova, and so many more...Some other common tidbits...hmm. I've watched the movie Under the Tuscan Sun almost 200 times. Seriously, the way I see it is if I keep watching it enough, then suddenly the house that Diane Lane lives in will magically appear in my backyard. I know. I have a huge imagination!

Chelsea Landon- Come Sundown

Title: Come Sundown
Author: Chelsea Landon
Release Date: May 27, 2014
Synopsis
Erin Evans is the kind of girl no guy wants to be in a relationship with. She's controlling and never backs down when she thinks she's right.
Knowing this, and rightfully fearing her last few years in her twenties will be like the last five, she looks for some adventure.
That's when her best friend convinces her to go on vacation with her to the Bahamas.
On the land of white sand, coconut rum, and a cloudless sky, what she never expeects is to meet Tyler Weston, a local bar tender with a sweet tongue for the pretty girls. He's tattooed, entertaining, and living the dream in paradise as he sets her drinks and world on fire.
As the moon lights the city, Erin unexpectedly becomes infatuated with Tyler and his bartending skills when he offers her a challenge to try his Black Magic drink. With a mission to now try every drink on the menu, one night she can barely remember turns into two weeks of exciting possibilities she never saw coming.
Can Erin put aside her cynical side and let the dirty mouthed bartender show her what island life is really like?

Excerpt
“Sounds like you have it all figured out, don’t you?”
A satisfied smile crossed his face. “Uh-huh.”
“I bet you have a dirty mouth, too?”
By the look on his face, it was fairly obvious he was about to say something dirty. “Sweetheart, you’d be surprised what that mouth can get me and what it can do for you.”
“Wow.” I threw my head back. “You’re so fucking arrogant.”
“Arrogance is a blessing.”
“How so?”
“No matter what you say” — he winked — “you want a man with confidence.”
He had me there.
A raucous burst of laughter brought me out of my island boy trance.
I brought the glass to my lips, finishing my drink, and watched a group of intoxicated girls grind on each other. Next to them, there was a group of men watching, drooling, and then taking them home.
“A girl really did a shot off a guy’s dick?”
Tyler grinned and held up the bottle of tequila in one hand, the other one undoing his belt buckle. “Wanna try?”
“Oh, uh.” I swallowed, and I thought he sensed maybe I wasn’t drunk enough for that, but it did sound appealing to me. I wouldn’t mind putting my mouth on him for sure, the thought tempting, even if I just envisioned it in my mind.
Before I had a lot of time to think about it, Tyler looked around the bar. It was empty for the most part, so he patted the bar. “Hop up here, city girl.”
“On the bar?”
He raised an eyebrow, setting the bottle of tequila on the bar and then placing two limes and salt beside it. “Yeah, what the fuck does ‘hop up here’ mean in city terms?”
“All right, let’s do it.” I gave a nod, as if to prepare myself.
“Off my dick?” You couldn’t miss the eagerness in his voice.
“Uh, no. Something else.”
I jumped slightly when his hands touched my exposed knees, pulling them apart. He then grabbed the salt shaker and made me get on the bar. He moved between my legs, putting his hands on my thighs again. With a firm grip he slid me forward and stood so his chest was in line with mine, so close I could finally smell him. He smelled like summer, warm sand, rum and cologne, fresh and clean.
He let go of me and then drew back far enough that he could raise his hands to pull his T-shirt over his shoulders. Goddamn, was he muscular and tanned. Dark markings scattered his chest and arms with what appeared to be about twenty or thirty different tattoos. I didn’t have a single tattoo, and the thought of getting even one terrified me. But part of me was really excited right then because now I knew he didn’t have a cat’s ass on his stomach. I could work with this.
I snuck a peek at his body again, just one more and proudly noticed him doing the same thing.
Oh yeah, I could definitely work with this.
We stared at each other for a moment, Zac Brown Band bellowing through the bar.
I was fairly modest in my attempt at a body shot and did one off his neck. Licking his soft but rough skin, I took my shot and then sucked on the lime in my hand. He said nothing, showed no real reaction other than his arms tensing when I licked his neck.
We sat there, staring at each other.
It was his turn.
Slowly he bent down to my neck, his lips on my collar bone, but he didn’t stay there. He surprised me when he moved lower, and lower. When he reached my thighs, he slowly spread them apart, his thumbs on my inner thighs, just inches above my knees.
I moaned, tossing my head back. “Of course you’d do that.”
He looked up at me, his head between my legs. “Nice panties.”
“Stop looking.”
I went to close my legs, but he caught them in his firm grip, prying them apart. “I don’t think so. You owe me.”
His mouth moved in, closer, and then closer. The heat from his breath and the humidity had me sweating like crazy. No way did I want his mouth down there. I tried to pull him up by his shoulders, but he knocked my hands away and shook his head.
With his mouth on my left thigh, he slowly licked a trail upward until his nose hit the bottom of my dress. Drawing back just slightly, he reached beside him for the salt, sprinkling it over the path his tongue had just made. Reaching up he placed the lime in my mouth.
Is he serious?
Yep. Looks like it.
I took the lime, willingly. He grabbed the shot and lowered himself once more between my legs. Wanting to tease him, and maybe torture myself, I spread my legs a little farther apart.
He smiled, his eyes a little darker as his hair fell in his face. Nothing was being said, but this was by far the sexiest shot I’d ever experienced.
With absolutely no hesitation, he licked the path he made with the salt, his tongue flat and wet against my overly heated skin. The sensation shot through my body, causing me to jump on contact. He noticed and gripped my thighs a little tighter, holding me still.
Pulling away, he threw his head back and took the shot, and then brought himself to my mouth. At some point I had bitten down on the lime; the juice squeezed down my chin and neck. Licking my neck, then chin, capturing the juices, he then took the lime, smiling the entire time.
Our lips never touched, and I was sadly disappointed. I wanted to kiss him.
He leaned toward me and brought his lips to my ear. “Now imagine that…higher….” His left hand, which was on my thigh, still moved higher until the pad of his thumb was between my legs. He stroked his thumb over my clit, separated from his skin by the thin wetness of my panties, with just enough pressure that I wanted to scream and then shove his entire hand up there.  To say my body was now officially more liquefied than the drinks that this delicious looking bartender served to his customers would be the biggest understatement of the night. I needed him as much as I needed my next breath. Praying that this night ended the way I’d envisioned because this ache wasn’t going to go away on its own.

Something Worth Saving
It was one night, one fate and something tragic destroying something beautiful.
Heavy sheets of smoke curling and rolling together constricting my visions of this life I had.
You see that there?
That wrenching pain in your gut knowing not everything as it seems?
Look closer. That nervous energy you now have, stumbling over words you can’t say, a voice muffled under a mask, a moaning plea to be saved, slurred words on the tip of your tongue, there’s the something tragic.
When I have nothing left to give, nothing left to say, it’s him that brings me back to the moment, in the arms of my firefighter, the warmth of his heart and body, struggling to save his family.
Just Enough
Coming Summer 2014
I want out of this town.
I want to leave and never look back.
He doesn’t knock when he comes in, he never needs to. He knows, as well as I do, my door is always open, waiting.
I crave him. I do. He knows this, I think, I know, and I believe he craves me too. Why else would he come back?
It’s his determination and his will that gets me. That determination keeps me waiting for him in a dreary bay. I’ve always heard my friends say they wanted the rich guy to take them out of this small town that seems to hold us all captive.
Lincoln wasn’t that guy. At first look, he’s a fisherman, married to the sea and weighted by her waves.
Who is he to me?
He’s someone who gives just enough.
He shows me a different way of thinking. A way to give more than just enough.

Happy Release Day Cassia Leo!
Today we're celebrating the release of Forever Ours.
Forever Ours is the highly anticipated prequel to the New York Times and USA Today bestselling Shattered Hearts Series. This should be before Relentless.

Sometimes, it takes more than love to mend a shattered heart.

After eight years of being tossed around from one home to another, never forming any meaningful friendships or bonds with her foster families, Claire's caseworker gives her an ultimatum: Behave or your next home will be a halfway house.

When fifteen-year-old Claire arrives at the home of Jackie Knight and meets Jackie's fifteen-year-old son, tattooed guitarist Chris, she fears she'll be seeing the inside of that halfway house soon. But Chris isn't like any other guy Claire has ever encountered and he soon gains her trust through his music and unwavering patience.

Claire has finally found her forever home and she and Chris soon find themselves falling in love.

But Chris’s dreams of musical stardom and Claire’s need for a stable home soon put their love in jeopardy. Chris struggles deeply with his plans for the future, entirely reluctant to leave Claire behind; until Claire does something that may break their love — and the only home she’s comes to know — forever.

Chapter Eleven
Chris
Forever Addicted

I tumble out of bed and drag myself out of my bedroom and into the hallway. When I push open the bathroom door, my eyes widen at what I’ve stumbled upon. Claire is standing next to the toilet, holding her new cell phone over the toilet bowl. Her lips are pressed together in a hard line across her delicate face.
“What the fuck?” is the first thing that slips out of my mouth.
“I don’t want this thing anymore.”
“Please don’t drop it in the toilet.”
“What is the point of having a cell phone if you never answer it?”
Oh, shit. She’s had this phone two months and it’s turned her into a crazy person. I don’t dare say this out loud, but I’m beginning to wish I’d gotten her something else for her birthday.
If I don’t call her back within a few minutes, she accuses me of playing games. If she doesn’t call me back right away, it’s because she was busy. I don’t think she even realizes how insane this sounds.
“What do you want me to do? Just tell me what you want and I’ll do it.” I inch closer to her and she smiles when she realizes she has my attention. “You want me to promise I’ll never wait more than five minutes to call you back? Would that make you happy?”
She loses the smile and purses her lips. “This phone has turned me into an addict. I look at it every two minutes to check for missed calls and texts from you. It’s sick!”
I reach for her wrist and slowly move my hand down until the phone is in my hand. I place it gently on the bathroom counter, then I look her in the eyes.
“Babe, you’re not addicted to your phone. You’re addicted to me.”
“Shut up!” she smacks my chest and I try not to laugh too loud.
I wrap my arms around her waist and pull her against me. She’s breathing hard as my lips hover over hers. “Don’t you have to get ready for school?”
“It’s a late day. I don’t have to be at school for two and a half hours.”
I smile. It actually makes me happy that I can’t remember what day is a late day anymore since I quit school. The only regret I have about quitting school is that Claire is alone now. With Jake and Rachel graduated, and Tristan hanging out with his new girlfriend, Ashley, Claire says she spends most of her time outside of class reading.
“Good, ‘cause I have plans for you…. I gonna text you for two hours straight.”
“You’re such a jerk!”
She tries to push me away and I lean in to kiss her. At first she closes her mouth, but she laughs when I plant a loud kiss on her cheek. And I seize the opportunity to kiss her hard.
Seconds later, we’re lying on my bed, the sheets bunched up beneath her and my hand easing down her waist to her hip. She grabs my hand to stop me and I smile as I move my hand up. I trail my lips over her smooth jaw and plant a soft kiss on her neck. I hear a sniffing noise and I quickly pull my head back, afraid she’s crying.
“Oh, my God. You smell so good,” she says, leaning forward so she can sniff my shoulder.
“Really?”
She grabs fistfuls of my T-shirt and brings them to her nose as she inhales. “Yes! Is that some kind of cologne or something?”
“No, it’s laundry soap and you use the same one.”
“No, it has to be something else.”
I reach up and lightly drag my fingertip across her jawline. “Yeah, it’s laundry soap and my pheromones, which you obviously can’t get enough of. Addict.”
“Shut up.”
“What? There’s nothing wrong with that. I can’t get enough of your scent either.” I bury my face in the crook of her neck and she lets out a soft gasp when I lick her skin. “You smell sweet and salty at the same time, like raspberries with a hint of the beach. It’s fucking intoxicating.”
“Really?” she breathes. “That’s what I smell like to you?”
I nuzzle my nose against the sensitive spot behind her ear and she giggles softly. “See what you do to me? I can’t get enough of you.”
I kiss her neck and her skin is so soft, I want to devour her. But I respect her boundaries. So minutes later, we’re on my bike on the way to drop her off at school.  As usual, she plants a kiss on the front of my helmet, leaving a kiss mark on the glass. Then she bats my hand away when I try to grab her ass as she walks away.
Something about this feels too perfect. I keep waiting for my mom to tell me that Claire’s being moved to another foster home. Or that my mom will find out about us and Claire’s caseworker will have her removed from our home.
Something bad is coming. It could be next week or next year. All I know is that this can’t continue the way it has. It’s too perfect. Nothing in my life has ever been this good or easy.
