Cover Reveal: The Art of Us by Hilaria Alexander

Title: The Art of Us
Author: Hilaria Alexander
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: January 26, 2018

Two years ago, his kiss left her reeling, but she pushed him away and they never spoke of it again.

Lena Andrews is bad at love, and has no intention of getting better at it.

Men are good for one thing, and love isn’t it.

She’s perfectly okay with finding happiness in her job as a comic book artist.

Yet, she can’t shake the memory of her coworker’s kiss.

Amos St. Clair has stayed the hell away from Lena Andrews for the last two years.

Work has filled his time and he’s on the cusp of making a name for himself. When an opportunity to complete a project that’s dear to Lena’s heart presents itself, Amos seizes the opportunity – even if it means being with the woman he's avoided all this time.

Through their mutual passion for art and each other, their love blooms like a lotus flower out of a dark, muddy pool. But, is their love strong enough to withstand the challenges posed by the most important job of their careers?

A black, shiny vintage car with white stripes on the sides was parked in front of our office, and I did a double take before realizing Amos was behind the wheel.

He got out of the car, coming around the back to open the trunk.

“You drive a Camaro?” I asked, dropping my sunglasses to the tip of my nose.

He gave me an uneasy smile as he opened the trunk. He took my overnight bag out of my hand before I could lift it into the car, and then he knelt to pick up the box of comics I was carrying with me.

The car was a beauty, but not at all what I’d expected.

It seemed so unlike him. Even though I didn’t know him, Amos St. Clair always struck me as a hip, modern man from Portland, but that car made him look…vintage.

Old-fashioned.

For some weird reason, I liked that. It made me smile. I glanced in his direction.

He was wearing a thin, worn-out leather jacket over a faded Batgirl t-shirt.

Cute.

Black straight jeans and Nike Air Jordans completed the look.

His eyes met mine, bright and amused, and this time the smile stretched big across my face.

“You drive, not a new, but a vintage Camaro? What year is this one? 1967?”

“1969,” he replied, sweeping his hair across his forehead. I noticed a hint of stubble on his jaw and wondered if he always looked that cool and put together.

He probably did; I just avoided looking at him on a regular basis, so I wouldn’t know.

“I didn’t peg you for a vintage car type of guy. I half-expected you to show up with an electric car.”

“Yeah. I get enough shit for having this car, but it’s a family heirloom. It belonged to my grandfather. We used to work on it together.”

“Oh.”

“Shall we go?”

“Sure.”

He slammed the trunk closed and I opened the passenger door.

“So, I guess you’ve never ridden in a Camaro?”

“Nope. Never had the pleasure.”

“Well, buckle up. You’re in for a treat.”

“A treat? Well, now, calm down a notch, St. Clair.”

“You’ll see Andrews. This car is not like any other car.”

“Not like any other car, you say.”

“This car is an experience. It’s a time machine.” His hazelnut brown eyes brightened up as the engine came alive and he bit his lip, smiling to himself. When he turned to me, his smile was somehow even bigger. The way he smiled and looked at me made me feel things I didn’t want to feel.

Heat radiated in my chest as I reciprocated his smile uneasily.

“Buckle up,” he repeated in a commanding tone.

I did as he asked and then sat in a daze as he drove us out of Portland, headed to Seattle.

Hilaria Alexander was born and raised in the south of Italy, where her family still lives. She was bit by the travel bug early on and lived in Tokyo and Orlando for a while before settling down in Oklahoma City with her husband and kids.

Release Tour: Outlaw Xmas by Chiah Wilder

Title: Outlaw Xmas
Series: Insurgents MC Romance
Author: Chiah Wilder
Genre: MC/Bad Boy Biker Romance
Release Date: December 18, 2017
Cover Designer: Cheeky Covers

Synopsis

Deck the halls with boughs of holly.

As the snow quietly falls over Pinewood Springs, a shadow lurks among the evergreen trees, watching and waiting to strike.

Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la.

The Insurgents MC gears up for their annual toy drive.

’Tis the season to be jolly.

An axe destroys Christmas trees, the spray of BB gun pellets deflate inflatables swaying in the wind, toys go missing.

Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la.

Someone wants to ruin Christmas in Insurgents Motorcycle Club territory.

Troll the ancient Yule-tide carol.

Bad mistake.

Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la.

Outlaw bikers don’t take crap from anybody.

They demand respect.

And they make sure they get it.

When the evil Scrooge steals the toys for the Toy Drive, Banger, the Prez, sees red, and his fellow brothers are chomping at the bit to run a candy cane through the madman’s heart.

As the Insurgents try to figure out who’s stealing the donations at the charity center, the real possibility of a turf war with the Deadly Demons, looms over them. What would the old ladies say if Christmas was spent in lockdown at the clubhouse?

Hawk’s pretty sure Cara wouldn’t be agreeable, especially since he’s already in deep water with her over some of his antics. A lockdown wouldn’t go over too well with the other old ladies either.

And if that isn’t enough, Banger, Hawk, and Throttle notice the heat brewing between one of their brothers, Wheelie, and another member’s old lady, Sofia. Moving in on another brother’s wife is strictly prohibited.

Wheelie knows that, but the way Sofia steals glances at him, ignites a fire that’s hard to contain.

Even though chaos and danger crackle around the club, the Insurgent men always have time to show their old ladies how loving an outlaw can be.

When the cruel Scrooge puts Hawk’s and Banger’s children in danger, he finds out that there is nothing like the fury of a one-percenter biker.

Will the Insurgents save Christmas for their families and the town?

This is the story of a rough and tumble outlaw motorcycle club: the Insurgents. This is not a standalone book. In order to enjoy the book more fully, it’s suggested that the reader is familiar with the Insurgents MC series. This book contains violence, strong language, and steamy/graphic sexual scenes. It’s about sexy, tough men who love their women fiercely and protect them valiantly. HEA. 18+.

Meet Chiah

Chiah Wilder writes about rough, sexy men who know how to treat their women.

Always a lover of books, she began writing at a young age and continued through college with collections of short stories. Figuring she had to grow up and get a “real” job, her writing was placed on the back burner.

Her love of reading has always been center front in her life. Chiah’s love of bad boys both in and out of fiction has inspired her books. She loves an alpha male whose softer side is brought out by a passionate, spirited woman. In fiction there are no rules or boundaries, and fantasies can go as far as the characters want to take them. Steamy, romances with tough, sexy bad boys are her guilty pleasure along with brownies, cheddar cheese, and movie marathons.
