Love Knows No Bounds by Lorraine Britt

Synopsis
Delaney Cooper lives in Concord, Massachusetts with her uncle and aunt, Richard and Sarah Fuller, and their son Aaron.  The family purchases and lovingly renovates and restores a historic colonial home.  Upon moving in Laney discovers something very unusual and magical about her room…and comes face to face with someone she never should have never been able to meet.  Samuel Bradford is a young man caught up in the challenges facing colonial America. Once Laney and Samuel find each other will the timeless connection be enough to save Samuel and keep them together?

“When I returned home yester evening and discovered the entry you had written in my journal, I felt my heart would leap out of my chest. I could scarcely allow myself believe you could feel that way about me. I picked this up first,” he said, closing his hand around the cross, “wondering why you had left it. When I read the end of your entry, I knew. I also knew if you had left this for me that you must feel the same, to leave something so precious to you as a gift for me.”

“I feel like I belong to you, Samuel, like I belong with you. I don’t know how to make this right though,” I said sadly.

“We shall figure it out, my Delaney. Somehow we shall figure it out together,” he said, smiling shyly.

“Together,” I smiled, closing my hand around his. “Samuel, I have to ask, how can you be so accepting of all this? And of what stands between us?”

“Because you made my heart feel things I had begun to think I would never feel, all before I even met you or read your words. To deny that this is real, to deny or question that it is happening or why it is happening would be to deny and question how I feel for you. I do not ever want you to think I am not certain of that, my Delaney,” he said firmly.

REVIEW

4 star: Reviewed by Lesley Peck for Eye Candy Bookstore

Love Knows No Bounds was a refreshing, interesting read. I had never read a book quite like it before. I enjoyed it from page one and could not put it down until I was finished. I was sucked into a world where a closet holds a mysterious secrets and a young girl, Delaney, is able to time travel and meets the boy of her dreams.

The story starts when Delaney moves into a recently renovated colonial home with her aunt and uncle. She walks into her closet to place some boxes and gets much more than she bargained for. A handsome boy named Samuel - who lives in the 1700s!!

But how is a relationship suppose to last like that especially when Delaney finds out something horrible about Samuel's future? Then its a race against time to save the one she loves. Everything about this book was fast paced and kept my attention. Excellent read!

The characters in the book were great. I loved them all. I can see myself being friends with them all. The only thing I questioned in the book was the reaction of her family when they found out about the time traveling and Samuel. I mean I wanted a little more than just "oh ok"....seriously someone should have been screaming about having Delaney commited. It's not everyday you time travel 200 years to get a boyfriend. ;)
