Backstage by A. M Madden

I have been looking forward to this book since the end of 'Encore' I loved Trey in all of Jack's book, he held a place in my heart and I was so happy that he got his own book. Now I love Jack but I have to say that Trey's book is my favorite.

I love that we got to back to the beginning of Trey Taylor, w got to learn how he became the man we know. It was deep and emotional reading what he went through and how he coped with his deep, dark issues. Even though he self-loathed himself you could still see he strength and loyalty. It made you understand Trey as a person not just a cocky rockstar. 

I love Tara's persistence with Trey, she is a strong woman and knows what she wants, even thought her heart wants Trey she knows she has to be careful with him as he is so guarded with his heart and life history. I wanted to smack the boy silly for pushing her away but you do understand his reasons. I always wanted to hug Tara because her feelings were being crushed by Trey's guarded personality. The whole band was there for him but he found it hard to fully let them him and know the true Trestan! 

That's where the whole heart break hits. The whole event is heartbreaking and painful to read, my stomach was in knots but once you recover from that feeling Mr Taylor decides to drop kick you in the stomach and release his true feelings and then walks away. I know some might scream at him to stay but I truly understood why he needed to do what he did. Even 10 years later, after everything that happened with Tara, his toxic memories seep back in from what his father did to Taylor. He blames himself. 

I was cheering for them; it was the perfect Trey way to end his book.
