Winter by Callie Hart Review- Release Blitz

Blurb:
A girl with a dark history…

Avery Bresllin took a leap of faith when she changed her name. As Avery Patterson, she is no longer the daughter of a serial killer. No longer the girl who was bullied and abused through high school. A fresh name and a fresh start at Columbia University means Avery can leave all that behind. There’s only one thing marring her dream of a clean slate….

A boy with a past of his own…

Luke Reid has a lot going for him: sex appeal, badass tattoos and insane musical talent. Despite his guitar skills, his calling in life has always been to serve and protect. A NYPD cop by day, singer in rock band D.M.F by night, from the outside Luke seems like he’s got it made. But falling for a girl whose father was accused of deeply sinister acts—a man whom Luke shared a devastating history with, himself—only serves to complicated things.
Pieces of a puzzle….

Four symbols, four methods of destruction.
A trade.
Borrowed wings.
Dark secrets that threaten to destroy.

REVIEW

Winter by Frankie Rose

You get to meet Avery who has had a very bad, life altering few months. Her dad is the town murder which forces Avert to flee and change her name, just to try and move forward in her life. Her mum is a very distant parent but she doesn't need her. You can see that Avery is strong by seeing how she wants to move forward. But enter the very hot Luke Reid, high school friend now turned sexy cop, but Luke has a few secrets of his own that involve Avery.
She finds a new distraction in the sexy Irish Noah but Noah just isn't the guy Avery truly wants and a fateful decision seals that.
The friendship and strong connection between Avery and Luke grows but things get in the way and secrets come to the surface threatening everything that Avery has done to protect herself. I love how protective Luke is of Avery. When secrets come alive, people's lives are in danger from an unlikely person but they were apart of the whole case and people are hurt.
Throughout this whole secretive story Avery/Iris and Luke come out together in the end. They both overcome so many demons and they do it together to get the happy ever after they both deserve.
