Being the son of Colton Mitchell isn't what Noah Mitchell wants to be known for. Though he works along side of his father, he feels the strain to go out on his own. Being the next in line to be in control of the family's ranch, he debates on taking his life in a completely different direction.
Leaving town to clear his head he meets Shalan, a beautiful singer that longs for a life in the city.
As sparks fly, his family's dreams for him seemingly go out the window. Will Noah stick around to follow in the footsteps of his famous father, or will love lead him away?
This is Book 1 in the new series, Mitchell- Healy Cousins.
You will still be able to enjoy all of the original characters from the original Mitchell Series.
Excerpt
I tugged down my jeans, since his back was turned to me. We were both adults and he’d obviously seen a woman before. Being in my underwear was exactly like wearing a bathing suit. I had nothing to feel ashamed of.
Well, that’s how I felt before he turned around and got an eyeful. “I wasn’t kiddin’ about sharin’ a bed.”
I climbed into the cold bed next to his. “You and I both know what will happen if I get into that bed with you.”
He sat up, leaning on his elbow. “What’s that exactly?”
“Oh, you’re funny. Like you don’t know already. Do you really think I’d just throw caution to the wind and sleep with you after one day?”
“You almost did a few hours ago.”
He was right and I hated that he knew it. “I would have stopped you.”
“Darlin’, after one kiss you’d be beggin’ me for more.”
His huge ego annoyed me, but it also made me hot between my legs. I could close my eyes and picture him being between them, satisfying the growing craving I had for him. “Have I mentioned how much I hate cocky men?”
“Maybe you just hate cock. Are you into cleanin’ carpets? Is that how you roll?” He must have thought his comment was funny, because he rolled on his back and cackled at himself. “You like the taste of pussy?”
I pulled a pillow over my face and screamed into it. The bantering between us was making me crazy. I finally removed the pillow, put my hand on the lamp switch, and spoke. “Wouldn’t you like to know?” I shut off the light and rolled over promising myself that I wouldn’t listen to anything else he had to say.

“Noah Mitchell, well hello there handsome!” So, I just finished Noah (man, do I wish that was a literal statement, don’t tell the hubs) any way, mind out of the gutter. I loved Noah, this was a five star read right from the beginning for me. I have not read any of the Mitchell Family Series, but the nice thing about this spin-off series is Jennifer gives you a rundown of the family before you start the book. As soon as I read that this book was by Author Jennifer Foor, I knew I would love the writing style (huge fan of Love’s Suicide--- here!)
Noah Mitchell comes from a ranching family in Kentucky. He is the oldest son of Colt and Savanna and is expected to take over the family ranch. But, Noah just isn’t feeling it, he wants to find his own way in his life and try new experiences. The problem with this is he just doesn’t know how to tell his over-bearing father. The more he tries, the more his father doesn’t listen. All hell breaks loose and he ends up leaving the ranch in anger.
On his journey “to find himself” he stops in a small town for dinner and a drink. He just wants this trip to be about getting away from the ranch and finding out what he wants to do with his life. Little does he knows, he’s about to get a whole lot more than he bargained for on this trip.
Shalan doesn’t have anyone that cares about her. She’s been handed the raw end of the deal her whole life. Meeting a handsome stranger in her uncle’s bar, she doesn’t for the life of her think he could be the answer to her problems. After a predicament with her boyfriend puts her in harm’s way, she ends up on the roundtrip of lifetime with Noah. In a few short days their relationship grows into something more.
I don’t want to give too much away, but this book a must read, especially if you like country boys (I DO!). The chemistry between Noah and Shalan is hot. The love and bond of the Mitchell family is so beautiful it makes me want to jump in the book and be a part of their family. Jennifer Foor writes relatable characters that we can fall in love with and feel with. I can’t wait for more in this spin-off series.
**Note** you do not have to read The Mitchell Family Series to pick up on the Mitchell Healy Series, but I’d recommend it. I love those Mitchell’s
