Breaking Kate - D. Kelly - Review

Breaking Kate by D. Kelly Review
This was a definite 4.5 read for me. I devoured this book in one sitting. It is a very well thought-out

Katherine and Michael are the perfect high school sweethearts, both from wealthy families, (their fathers are business partners) they have the world at their feet. Everyone knows that they will become husband and wife and life couldn’t get any better for them. Then, an unthinkable tragedy happens and it rips them apart. Michael is devastated and breaks Katherine’s heart in two, leaving her to pick up the pieces of her life alone.

Years later, Kate is finally ready to live her life again. Kate and her best friend Jess are finishing up their college careers and Kate is finally finding some peace. Connor, Kate’s best guy friend invites her and Jess to a party so Kate can meet (and be set up with) his good friend Daniel. They hit if off immediately and have a whirlwind romance. It is the kind of romance little girls dream of, trust me, Daniel is the real deal.

Daniel and Connor’s friend Mike is a good guy that got the short end of the stick handed to him in his last relationship, they guys don’t know much about it, but they do know that his ex, Katherine, must have really done a number on him. Mike confides in Daniel that he wants to make amends with Katherine, that he believes he was wrong about her all those years ago.

When all the friends meet at the engagement party for Jake and April, all holy hell breaks loose when Daniel’s Kate is Mike’s Katherine and Daniel’s friend Mike is Kate’s Michael. Don’t worry… there is more. This is a great book with twists and turns that I didn’t even see coming.

I can’t wait to see what happens in the next installment of the series. If you don’t like cliff hangers I suggest you wait till all the books are out, but will be missing out on an amazing story right now. Great job D. Kelly
