Review of Out of the Wreckage by Amy Cox

Review of Out of the Wreckage by Amy Cox

Out of the Wreckage was a short story that I was so sad to see end. It is a great read, very quick but wraps up nicely so you get the happily ever after you are looking for while reading. Drea is a chef in New York who is called home when her Grandma Ruthie needs her help. It is a given for her to return to get her childhood home and store back on track after they start to fall into disrepair in the ten years since she left after a tragic accident killed her mother. Drea never expects to meet Nate when she gets there and what they come to mean to one another in such a short time, and what her Grams orchard does to bring them together is something you will love when reading this story. I loved it. I only wish there had been more!

Review of Battlescars by Sophie Monroe

Review of Battlescars by Sophie Monroe

THIS BOOK ROCKED! AND I AM NOT JUST SAYING THAT BECAUSE SHE IS MY AWESOME FRIEND. I READ THIS BOOK BEFORE THAT WAS THE CASE AND SHE WAS JUST A VISITOR ON THE PAGE.
BATTLESCARS IS WRITTEN IN THE POV OF BOTH MAIN CHARACTERS, WHICH I LOVED. A LOT OF TIMES BOOKS ARE WRITTEN FROM JUST ONE CHARACTER'S POV AND YOU ARE LEFT WONDERING WHAT THE OTHER PERSON IS THINKING IN SITUATIONS THROUGHOUT THE STORY- I LIKED THAT WE WERE LET INTO THE MIND AND EMOTIONS OF BOTH AUBREY AND JAKE EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. VERY REFRESHING.

THIS BOOK WAS A QUICK AND ENTERTAINING READ, WITH AUBREY BEING A DAMAGED BUT NOT RUINED, STRONG WOMAN WITH A SHARP TONGUE AND A GREAT FAMILY THAT YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE WITH. JAKE IS A BAD BOY ROCKER WHO HAS JUST STARTED TO COME INTO HIS FAME AND HAS GROWN TIRED OF THE ROADIE BAD BOY LIFE AND FALLS HARD AND FAST FOR AUBREY. WITH HIS TATTOOS, PIERCINGS AND MOHAWK YOU MAY THINK HE'S TOO BAD BOY TO BE ROMANTIC AND YOU WON'T FALL IN LOVE WITH HIM BUT YOU WILL. BY THE END HE WILL BE ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE BOOK BOYFRIENDS. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK.

SOPHIE IS CURRENTLY WRITING AFFLICTED WHICH IS A CONTINUATION OF BATTLESCARS IN THE SENSE THAT IT IS ABOUT CHARACTERS FROM THAT BOOK- AUBREY'S BEST FRIEND PIPER AND JAKE'S BEST FRIEND BLAKE. ALTHOUGH AFFLICTED'S FOCUS WILL NOT BE ON JAKE AND AUBREY, THE RETURN OF THEM AND SOME OTHER GREAT CHARACTERS FROM BATTLESCARS MAKE ME SUPER EXCITED FOR ITS RELEASE LATER THIS SUMMER. SO STAY TUNED!

Welcome!

Why We Are Here
April 16, 2013

So we decided to start a blog as a place to put reviews of the books we have read and add little
snippets and pics for them all in one post instead of dealing with the format we are forced to conform to on Facebook. Here you will be able to see what we thought of books and not miss anything because it is not in your current view.

For those of you who do not know us, I am Kellie and I am a single mom of two girls who lives in Houston, Texas. I work full-time and read a million hours a week so I have no social life or husband. Hahaha! Just kidding, I have great friends and family support and am happily single as a choice not a curse. The other ladies on the page are Amy, married mom of three children, who lives in Wales, UK. She is also an Admin on the pages Christian Grey Fans for Jessie Pavelka and The Search for Gideon Cross. She is an avid reader and a huge contributor to the page as our Book of the Week creator and manager. Sarah also lives in the UK and is a mother of one daughter. She is beta reading and is our Book Recommendations album creator and full time contributor. She is also Admin at the CGFforJP and SforGC pages with Amy. Fourth but never last is Wonder Woman, Margie, who is in Texas with me and is an Admin of the Christian Grey Fan Page, a Rememberance Trilogy page and the Professor Gabriel O. Emerson Fan Page, a full-time librarian, student and mother.....as well as member of several book clubs and organizations. She literally does it ALL. Her major contribution to the page is her awesome advise and tips on what to do to improve the page and bring more people to it. Love all these ladies to death!

Although every day it seems a new page pops up using "Fictional Boyfriend" or some form of "Book Whore" in their title, we hope that we set ourselves apart by being the first with the format we have, giving you a Book of the Week, a Book Recommendation Album, #TattooTuesday, and much more that other pages do not have or cannot duplicate to our success. Not bragging, just saying, we have grown at the pace that we have by being different or FIRST at many things that are offered on our page. At first we were a little insulted that some of our "friends" made pages that attempt to compete with ours, but soon came to realize that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right? So now we just focus on our page and bringing you what WE can to keep you coming back to us every day for something new and fresh. So thank you all for being with us and helping us reach almost 7,000 likes in under 90 days. You all make coming on the page every day a total blast to do.
