About the Author
BOUND_Bonnie Bliss Bonnie Bliss is the brain child of two authors. Bonnie is a husband and wife duo who have come together to weave stories of passion, action, betrayal, and ultimate surrender. They have discovered that mixing genres is their thing. Their tastes go dark, and they love to twist up sweet stories and make them a bit more tense and sexy. Bonnie writes in multiple genres with plans to dabble into more areas of fiction.

One is a Southern California native, the other was born and raised in Yorkshire, England. The husband spends his time giving the wife alpha males with bite. He is a man that needs to see his world in print. He has a panty melting accent, loves listening to music, watching Game of Thrones, and obsessing over Heisenberg. The wife spends her time writing strong women that evolve into their power, they don’t just come out guns blazing. She claims the song California Girls, by Katy Perry is totally accurate. She’s done everything from waitressing, customer service phone rep., Corporate Real Estate, and spent a pretty impressive part of her life working for the Disney Corporation—before finding her way into the publishing world with her husband.

Queen of The Hill (Excerpt 1)

Sex is different with someone you love. New sex extinguishes a fire; old love stokes the embers. In a way, sex is a lot like wine—drinkable as soon as it ferments. But if you allow it to age, the result is a visceral experience—a nirvana of the senses.

When it came to Rick and me, we’d aged together for multiple lifetimes. Every touch elicited an irresistible array of memories. Each caress ignited a new flavor on the emotional spectrum. Sweet and aromatic. Complex. Layered. Having a long finish. An enticing intoxication of hormonal chemistry and raw heat.

I loved Rick.

In bed beneath me, he dug his fingers into the hair at the nape of my neck and tugged. I lifted my cheek from his chest to meet his gaze. His hooded stare held nothing short of reverence, his pupils almost black with need. “You must know you bewitch me in a way that has nothing to do with magic. I have crossed oceans of time to be with you. Lifetimes. I would do it again, but I hope I never have to.”

“You won’t,” I promised. “We’re together now, and I plan to be careful with myself.”

I trailed my fingertips up the side of his chest and over the length of his arm. Iridescent purple magic followed my touch, markedly beautiful beside his dark hair and the silky red pillowcase under his head. The streak wasn’t something I was consciously producing. Power poured out of me with so much love. At journey’s end, my left hand linked with his, my engagement ring squeezed inside the web of his long fingers.

The blue and silver cushion of gems that marked our coming nuptials was both old and new. The ring itself was antique, commissioned in the 1700’s, but its place on my finger was a novelty. Rick had asked me to marry him only a few short weeks ago, and I had said yes. I was engaged. To be married. To Enrique Ordenez—Rick. My caretaker.

I pressed my lips against the side of his neck. The heat of my breath brought his blood to the surface. Liquid ambrosia. My personal recipe for the elixir of life. During my first lifetime as a witch, I’d made the decision to store an immortal part of my soul inside Rick when Reverend Monk burned me at the stake in 1698. Of course, I don’t remember all the details, having died and been reborn several times since. But I had pieced together this much: I didn’t have to give Rick my immortality. I chose to. By using magic to create a symbiotic relationship between the two of us, I’d ensured we would be together forever. A lovely side effect was his blood healed me, and my blood strengthened him.

Queen of The Hill (Excerpt 2)

Pregnant. I could be pregnant. I trudged into my kitchen with my new dress in one hand and a Red Grove pharmacy bag in the other. The first I hung in the hall closet. The second I stared at blankly while images and incantations swirled through my brain. I attempted to make sense of the emotions brewing within me, but couldn’t sort them out.

As I stripped out of my winter clothes, my raven familiar, Poe, swept into the room on wide black wings.

“We need to speak, Witchy Woman,” Poe said. He landed on the back of the couch.

“What’s up?” I asked absently.

“Only that you have still not retrieved The Book of Light from the ghost-man Logan’s home. May I remind you once again that the rightful place for your magical grimoire is in your attic?”

“Ugh.” I tipped forward, conking my head on the kitchen island. “I know. I know. I know.” I banged my head in time with the mantra. “I keep texting him, and he’s always busy with the restaurant.”

“Perhaps pick up a phone? Get off your spell-casting ass and take back what is yours? Grow a spine and stop taking ‘later’ as an answer?”

“It’s not that easy. Logan gave me a key. Rick destroyed the key. Then, in the same conversation as I told Logan about the crushed key, I had to tell him I was engaged. I think I broke his heart.”

“More than enough reason to demand your book of magic back,” Poe insisted.

“I know. I know. I know.” Bang, bang, bang. “I’m just hoping if I give him enough time, he’ll get over it. I miss his friendship.” I straightened, scrubbing my face with my hands.

Poe scrutinized me from head to toe. “This isn’t just about The Book of Light, is it? As the kids say, what is up, buttercup? You have the pale malaise of a human suffering from the dengue.”

“I threw up this morning. Still nauseous.”

“The flu, perhaps?” Looking bored, he picked at his feathers with his beak.

I toyed with the corner of the bag on the counter. I was late. Not a lot late. Just about a week. “Can I ask you something?”

Poe shrugged his bird shoulders. “You can ask. I can’t guarantee an answer.”

“Do you think … with the candle Rick used … Do you think he was human? Like entirely human?”

“At the end? When you saved him?” Poe asked.

I nodded.

“As close to human as he could be. He was dying. If you hadn’t put out the candle, you’d be up witch creek without a paddle.”

The bag rumpled and ripped as I pulled it open and removed the pregnancy test.

“Bloody hell! You think you’re pregnant!” Poe covered his beak with one wing.

Mouth gaping like a fish, I tapped the package down on the counter. “I don’t know. I mean, I hope not. I haven’t been on birth control since Gary, and Rick and I definitely did the sexual healing thing when he was human-like.” I raised both eyebrows. “Plus, I’m late and perpetually nauseous.”

“You said it yourself. Human-like. Not fully human.” Poe gave a cynical snort. “The chances are …”

I furrowed my brow. “What, Poe? You know nothing about the magic of that candle. Are you going to babble off some made-up statistic about the chances I could be preggers? I’ll save you the trouble. It doesn’t matter if it’s one percent or ninety percent, I’m peeing on this stick.”

Asher Craig drives fast, flies high, and screws hard. But make no mistake, he’s a gentleman.

The past is beyond his control and the future may not exist. With his only loyalties being his family, he thrives for that edge where plunging over is always in the realm of possibility.

When a beautiful familiar face tilts his axis, he re-examines everything and realizes that second chances are overrated and a lifetime of firsts are irreplaceable. In the end, it’s not her medical degree but his trust that needs to prove that the ride together is worth it ... until it’s Beautifully Done.

5 Stars

Growing up Chase, Talia, Kimi and Asher were inseparable. The best kind of best friends that loved each other fiercely, that is until life got in the way. Now 18 years later a chance meeting between old friends starts something neither are ready for. All grown up - Asher is the ultimate 'love em and leave em' playboy and he has no plans to settle down now or ever. Talia is a successful doctor on the west coast who isn't afraid of commitment, but knows it's not for her. As Asher and Talia grow closer, the old flame reignites and makes them both question their paths in life. Except Talia holds a secret, one so dark and deep that it could ruin everything these two have started building.

I really enjoyed this book and it's plot twists and turns. I was excited to see how well incorporated Chase and Lili were into this book (who doesn't love reconnecting with some favorite characters?). I couldn't help but love that this story kept me on the edge of my seat at times and made me question not one but two relationships... AGH! Alas, by the end of the book all made sense and I was sated with happiness :) Can't wait for #3 to come out! This is 100% a 1 - click series!

Beautifully Awake – By Riley Mackenzie
Review By Tonya Nichols
If you are a fan of Grey’s Anatomy or ER, you will love Beautifully Awake just like I did. Hot, arrogant neurosurgeon… OMG! Chase Colton is one hot piece of arse I would consider banging my head up against a wall for. I fell in love with this broody, possessive, sensitive, funny doctor.
Lili Porter is a case worker with a rough past that is just trying to get through life day by day… sleep-running. Chase Colton is a hot shot neurosurgeon with his own dark past, whose cases Lili has just been assigned to. Chase is all business in the office, except for the mixed signals he sends Lili. One minute he is Dr. Compassionate and the next he is back to Dr. Intensity, leaving Lili hot, bothered, and confused. After a hot make out session and some jealous encounters, Chase and Lili finally try to make a relationship work.
Can they beat their own demons and overcome the running they’ve become so accustomed to, and become what each other needs? This is a beautiful story of love, loss, tragedy, friendship, and human compassion. Don’t worry you will get some definite steamy sexiness and laugh out loud moment as well…
Excerpt**** This is an excerpt from Sierra, Lili’s foul mouthed pregnant best friend, who toasts at dinner with Chase and Lili after her labor scare – (talking to Chase….)
“Turns out you and my cervix have something in common, or so I’ve heard.” Sierra clinked our glasses. “To long and firm!” --- I freakin loved Sierra!

About the Authors
RMwinterauthorpic
Yep. That's an “s.” There are two of us! We’re East coast girls separated by Long Island Sound who met in Physician Assistant School and have been besties ever since. We can safely say that thirteen miles of water does not get in the way because we talk or text, no exaggeration, at least 150 times a day. No, really, we do—about everything and nothing. Shockingly, we never (we mean never) run out of things to say. Umm, ever. We definitely laugh A LOT and we’re a tad sarcastic. And if we’re being totally honest, one or two people might have, on occasion, used our names and ‘dramatic’ in the same sentence. But it’s hard to trust the sources since they married us. It only took twelve years, two husbands, five kids, two dogs, and a two-week vacation in Cape Cod later to decide the romance world needed a splash of medicine. Write what you know. So you can easily find us at 4 o'clock on Bank Street beach with a glass of cold Prosecco brainstorming. And guaranteed if we bump into you, literally, it’s only because our iPhones are glued to our hands (totally out of our control) either writing or editing our next novel (and yes, it is possible to do from your iPhone, we mastered it … damn those straight quotations). When we are not working on our book or reading the latest angsty romance on our kindles, you basically name it and we have it going on. Soccer, lacrosse, golf, swimming, dance, gymnastics, football, chess, baseball, basketball, skiing, ice skating, school, homework, and more school. Oh yeah, did we forget to mention our careers in medicine? Needless to say, we realized fast that something had to go, so we opted for sleep. It’s completely overrated (yet so AMAZING) and delirium makes everything funnier. Good thing we share a brain and can pretty much complete each other’s sentences (definitely weird, we know). So that’s our story, who we are … just add AUTHORS to the list!
