“You alright, my Sweet? This too much?” he asked quietly. I pulled back slightly so I could look up at him, and I smiled when the corner of his mouth lifted, his gray eyes darkening some nearly instantly, both in dilation and emotion. Confirmation that I’d nailed his character for him. I inhaled deeply when his hand slid slowly down my back so that he gripped my bottom, and that was it. It was like a dam had been breached. In seconds, Klive had both hands gripping the hell out of my ass as he spun me into the suite so that the door slammed and locked automatically behind us. I consumed his raw groan like water as I pulled at his lips, sucked his tongue into my mouth. “Oh, shit, what are you wearing under here?” he breathed when he had me laid out on the granite of the kitchenette, my knees bent, my legs parted for his hand that had roamed to the wet ribbon between my thighs. “Oh, damn, woman. He went shopping in your closet, then?” he asked to himself, but he was giddy as hell. “Come, I’ve lost my head a bit. I apologize, but you will put me into a blasted frenzy if I take this dress off. Don’t think you want to be taken on such a surface as this, do you?” he smiled stupidly so that I giggled a bit.

“In all fairness, sir,” I paused to sit up on the counter top and grip his open shirt in my fists to jerk him toward me. “You are the one paying me. I think that earns you the right to take me on whatever surface you wish, now doesn’t it?”

His eyes closed, his hand scrubbed over his whole face, and I was empowered with the fact that he was hanging by a thread in his attempt to keep from carnally devouring me in the hardest, most dirty ways that I couldn’t help but pray for. I wanted to be sore as hell tomorrow. I bit my lip as a tinge of guilt at sneaking out hit me, and Klive opened his dark and stormy eyes and sent a jolt like lightning straight to my core so that I had to squirm a bit to fight off the insane lust that I was throbbing with.

“You would be fucking right,” he growled and tugged me off the counter.

MeetTheAuthor

I write twisted erotic romance, and I'm not typically a hit it-n-quit it type of girl, nor am I traditional. Personally, when I read, I want to feel the emotion and sensation, so I expect nothing less of my own work. However controversial, sometimes even disturbing or offensive, if only one reader shares my love for these beautiful, yet flawed characters and situations as much as I do, then it's all been worth sharing. I'm not everyone's taste, but you may find my particular flavor makes you crave more.

Blog Tour- ML Stephens Dirt Roads #1 & 2

Synopsis

With nothing but shattered dreams and a busted heart to fuel the way, Angela Fletcher drove out of Arkansas and never looked back.

Six years later, the new and improved version of the girl she used to be steered clear of romance, love and late night promises. The only pillow talk Angela engaged in these days was making sure the person on the other pillow knew to lose her number as soon as he left the bed. She only had room for one love in her life and that was Bare Assets, the gentlemen's club she poured her heart and soul into.

Dean Murray was the devil in disguise and had left behind enough broken hearted women to populate a small country. Angela would know. She was an expert markswoman who was skillfully self-trained at shooting down the good, the bad and the ugly of all masculine targets. After all, as the owner of the most successful strip club in Dallas, Texas, it was her business to know men.

Just as she begins to fall for Dean's silky words and passionate ways, her past and present unexpectedly collide and a meticulously planned future turns into unpredictable chaos. Is the smooth-talking, denim-wearing devil responsible for the chaos? Or are the secrets she left buried in Arkansas coming back to haunt her?

Review

Bare Assets 5 stars

This was my first ML Stephens book and I couldn't put it down. It was the perfect mix of mystery, danger and sexy. How can you not adore Dean? Angela is the perfect mix of country girl and hard ass business woman. She is not your typical weepy female regardless of all she's dealt with. You'll be shocked and at the edge of your seat. This is a no brainer must read. Will definitely be grabbing more of Ms. Stephens books.

Cutter Harrison relies on two things: beer and music—his music. At twenty-six, he's happily divorced and plans to keep it that way.

Holly Avery is on the hunt. She's determined to discover the next country music superstar and is willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen.

When two paths collide, Cutter and Holly are suddenly forced to question their pasts, their futures, and the bare essentials of love. Country music brought them together, but will their dirty little secrets keep them apart?

Review

Bare Essentials. 5 stars

Love Cutter's story. He's your typical sexy southern boy. It's great to have a man that has his demons and isn't perfect but is still proud of his roots. Love those southern manners and his respect for his parents and his heritage. Holly is a woman in a man's world and has paid her dues and won their respect. Her love and devotion to those she calls family is so strong. I truly enjoyed watching her let loose and allowing herself to be just her. They both have such a strong belief in what's right and refuse to compromise that. One of the best love stories I've read in a long time.

Excerpt:
Arielle, reaches over to me and gently massages my ear as she searches my face- for what, I’m not certain. Then, she leans into me and kisses me delicately.

I love all of her kisses; they all speak different words and sometimes even different languages, but I understand each and every one.
We hold hands as we get up from the table and walk into the grass, which is cool and soft.
We sit next to one another, she lays her head on my shoulder, and we look out onto the moon reflecting off the water. I hear Arielle taking in controlled and deliberate breaths as if she’s gearing up to say something. I wait patiently for her to say what she needs to say.

Upon completion of a few more deep breathing exercises, she keeps her head on my shoulder, looking out onto the water, and says hesitantly, “Show me the way.”
Not sure that I heard her correctly, I ask to clarify. “What?”
She keeps staring at the water, but grips my hand tighter. “Show me the way. I trust you to light the way, so lead the way, and I am right there behind you.” She lifts her head, searching my face in the darkness.

“I'd rather you be beside me,” I say as I take in her soft and lovely features.
Her eyes show a degree of uncertainty.

I smile in response and brush her wavy hair behind her ear. “I will hold your hand the entire way.”

Arielle’s face is illuminated by the moonlight, and I can see signs of both worry and hope in it. Her expression is earnest as she asks, “Promise?”
“Scout’s honor.”

I kiss her knuckles one by one as she nestles her head and body deeper into my shoulder.

I am both thrilled and fearful of her trusting me so unconditionally. The gift of holding someone’s heart is a monumental responsibility with the potential for very grave and detrimental consequences. It is not a decision to be taken lightly, but Arielle trusts me enough to give it to me, and I will prove to her that I am worthy of her tribute. I need to show her what she means to me and how seriously I feel about her. I need her to know, without a doubt, that she too holds my heart, and together we are complete. I will protect her and devote myself to her happiness, because from this moment forward, my life and future is no longer I or me- only us.
I run my hand over her soft hair and inhale her. I brush my thumb behind her ear and move it down her cheek, across her jaw, and to her chin. I gently pull away, leaving her chin resting in my hand, and lower my head so that my eyes are level with hers.

I look into her uncertain, yet trusting eyes.

“Let’s wrap the moon around us and feel what it is for me to worship you.”

Excerpt
Craig has me backed against the wall, his hands either side of my head and his face is within inches of mine. I can feel his hot breath spurt on my face and his eyes are burning with anger. He look like he wants to punch everything in sight. Okay, so maybe I went a bit too far, but fuck him. I wanted a reaction from him and I sure as hell got one. I plaster myself to the wall. I know he would never touch me in a million years, but something primal is in front of me and between being scared of Craig, I am getting turned on by this too. We have yet to have angry make-up sex and right now, as much as I want my bath, sex would not go amiss. “Are you trying to fuck me up, Nic? Trying to turn me into a jealous fucker because I damn well am right now.” He spits out. His eyes are all over my face, from my lips to my eyes to my lips again. “I nearly punched the shit out of your little work buddy earlier. You fucking LEFT ME in bed this morning after our fight last night and then I see you all fucking happy as Larry with dickwad. Do you know how that made me feel? I shake my head and go to push him off me, but that only spurs him on and his body becomes flush with mine. I have to bite back a groan at the contact. He wraps his hands in my hair and brings my face even closer to his. I can literally taste the beer on his lips and all I want to do is taste it on his tongue. But I need to stand my ground and not let him get one over on me. “Well maybe you should stop trying to dig into the past, Craig, leave it the fuck alone. I've already told you I feel fucking bad for this morning but you're a big boy, you should have learned how to set an alarm by now.” I bite back, “And I didn't bring Jamie along to make you jealous, you wanker, I brought him along to meet you all. But no, you turned it into a pissing contest. I am no ones okay? I am not yours so calm your fucking jealousy.” He takes a deep breath and closes his eyes. He unravels one hand from my hair and punches the wall next to me. I jump at the thud his fist makes and he falls forward, his face resting on my shoulder. I stand still, wondering what he is doing and I feel him wrap both hands around my waist. My hands are still idle at my waist, not wanting to touch him. “Nic, you are mine. No matter what the hell happens. You. Are. Mine.” He murmurs into my ear and plants a kiss on my neck. “Yeah, yours for 8ish more months.” I say and feel him shake his head and tighten his grip on me. “No.” is all I hear from him. His words are confusing me and unless he cannot count how long we have left, he's going insane. “Yes.” “No.” and with that he lifts himself back up and slams his lips onto mine. I falter back into the wall and Craig moves with me. His lips are hard and rough against my own and I try to keep up his pace. I wrap my arms around his neck, wanting to be closer to him, needing him closer. Our tongues are battling against each other, I can taste the beer and a moan escapes from the back of my throat. I feel Craig's hands move down towards my arse and one hand grabs a cheek while the other grips my thigh and he hoists me up so my legs are wrapped around his waist. He pushes up further into the wall, so he can hold me in place and I can mould myself to his body; all the while our lips never parting. His kisses are like my next breath. I crave them all day and when I do get them upon mine, its like everything is put into place, I can breathe and let out everything I have been holding in all day. Craig moans into my mouth when I take over dominance and bite his lip, sucking it between my teeth before running my tongue to sooth it. My hands pull at his hair, his hands are gripping my arse and I am writhing against him. I can feel him pulsating through his jeans and I can feel the hardness of his dick pushing into my own jeans and each time I move it causes friction for both of us and guttural groans escape us both. Craig rips his mouth from mine and begins to attack my neck. He bites, sucks, licks and all I can do is roll my head to the side to grant him more access while I purr with need and want for this man in front of me. “Craig, I need you to fuck me.” I whisper while he's biting my pressure point. I swallow hard and suddenly we are on the move towards the bedroom. His lips don't leave my neck until he throws me down on the bed and right there, that very second I can see just how jealous and angry and pissed off my husband is, but I can also see the passion and the need and want for me, and fucking too right, I am going to be another statistic to prove just how fucking awesome angry make-up sex is.
