Veiled by L. Chapman Review
Every girl wishes for the perfect wedding day, even Jen but her one true love Rich starts pulling away just a few weeks before their big day. Without hesitation Rich takes off to Vegas with a friend and doesn't have a second thought for his bride-to-be. I wanted to slap this boy silly and scream at him to make up his bloody mind. So when Jen meets Warren and starts to feel again, it was awesome. Talk about swoon! The sex scenes were very hot and steamy.
My stomach was in knots when Jen found the dumb nut Rich in a rather compromising position with a male friend of theirs. This is when I truly wanted to slap the boy and I was praying that Warren would come save the day. Which, he does.
I love that Megan and Mark support Jen through out the book, such amazing friendship. Through everything that Jen has gone through I was so happy to see Warren step up and take care of her, even though her mind was all over the place. I am looking forward to more in this series.

Do You Believe by L. Chapman Review
This was such a sweet and lovely story of family, friends and Christmas.
The love and friendship is clear among Megan and Mark's crew. They love each other and look out for each other.
I liked how Mark, Connor, and Warren were with baby Lucy and Kate. They are their princesses. The relationship between Megan and Jen is an amazing true non-blood sisterhood. It's a sweet, sweet story.

Redeemed by L. Chapman Review
I was looking forward to reading more about Megan and Mark and wasn't disappointed. It is a true love story. Mark worships Megan's daughter Lucy even though she isn't his.
When Mark and Megan’s pasts team together to blow their world apart, it leaves Mark in the hospital after and attack. Megan has no choice but to choose her daughter over Mark. Even though I was rooting for her to explain to Mark and not break his heart in two, as a mum I understood Megan's reasons. Poor Mark, my heart ached for him.
After making her decision and landing them all in hospital, can Megan and Mark move past the horrific event?
I was happy to see Megan and Mark get their happy ending, they deserved it.

Life in a Rut Love Not Included - J.D. Hollyfield - Review

Life in a Rut Love Not Included by J.D. Hollyfield Revivew
It took me a good portion of the book to get into it. It kept reverting back to what her ex-boyfriend
It was pretty clear that Jack did feel sorry for Sarah but he also seemed to care for her some too. After the crappy introduction they had, (Jack was a d**k to her), I wanted to punch the guy. Especially, for speaking to Sarah that way he did and for throwing her phone into oncoming traffic. Over new renovations, their friendship slowly builds which turns into steamy sex scenes and their relationship grows.
An unwanted visitor comes back into Sarah's life and almost ruins her happiness, but after a few days apart it's clear that Sarah and Jack are meant to be.

Breaking Kate - D. Kelly - Review

Breaking Kate by D. Kelly Review
This was a definite 4.5 read for me. I devoured this book in one sitting. It is a very well thought-out
Katherine and Michael are the perfect high school sweethearts, both from wealthy families, (their fathers are business partners) they have the world at their feet. Everyone knows that they will become husband and wife and life couldn’t get any better for them. Then, an unthinkable tragedy happens and it rips them apart. Michael is devastated and breaks Katherine’s heart in two, leaving her to pick up the pieces of her life alone.
Years later, Kate is finally ready to live her life again. Kate and her best friend Jess are finishing up their college careers and Kate is finally finding some peace. Connor, Kate’s best guy friend invites her and Jess to a party so Kate can meet (and be set up with) his good friend Daniel. They hit if off immediately and have a whirlwind romance. It is the kind of romance little girls dream of, trust me, Daniel is the real deal.
Daniel and Connor’s friend Mike is a good guy that got the short end of the stick handed to him in his last relationship, they guys don’t know much about it, but they do know that his ex, Katherine, must have really done a number on him. Mike confides in Daniel that he wants to make amends with Katherine, that he believes he was wrong about her all those years ago.
When all the friends meet at the engagement party for Jake and April, all holy hell breaks loose when Daniel’s Kate is Mike’s Katherine and Daniel’s friend Mike is Kate’s Michael. Don’t worry… there is more. This is a great book with twists and turns that I didn’t even see coming.
I can’t wait to see what happens in the next installment of the series. If you don’t like cliff hangers I suggest you wait till all the books are out, but will be missing out on an amazing story right now. Great job D. Kelly

Invicta - Piper Kay - Review
Invicta by Piper Kay Review
The first book in Piper Kay’s Invicta series, Salvation is a sweet story of how two men met and fell in love. The story starts with a description of Kade and Holten’s male revue night club, which I’m guessing is the setting for the remainder of the series. The story then turns and takes us back to when Kade and Holten first met. It is love story of two men coming to grips with who they are separately, and who they are when they finally let go and love each other. Piper Kay reels you in with the gritty and seedy male night club scene, and then takes you a beautiful journey of love and devotion in which Kade and Holten see each other as their personal salvation. The next book in the series should be a good one!

The Scars of Us ~ Nikki Narvaez ~ Review
The Scars of Us by Nikki Narvaez ReviewThe Scars of Us is one of the most emotional books I have read to date this year. It touches upon some very sensitive issues – childhood abuse and sexual assault. I will admit it was very difficult to read at times. I think any woman would be affected. The subject matter is scary to think about.
The main story revolves around Kaiya and Ryker.
Kaiya and Ryker met when she is taking his self defense class. They felt an attraction but because of her past Kaiya is unsure if she can move forward and live what she sees as a normal life.
“Why don’t you come home with me?” I suggested with a crooked grin as I pulled her barstool between my legs.
“I can’t,” she replied as she leaned forward, bringing her face only inches from mine.
Closing the distance, I barely grazed her lips as I asked, “Why not? We both know you want to.”
Pulling back a little, she put some distance between our mouths. “Those old demons I mentioned earlier – they haunt you forever.” Before I could respond, she continued, “You don’t want to get involved with me.”
As they begin to get closer and deal with Kaiya’s issues other things around them continue to get in the way. I enjoyed reading how together they were able to overcome everything. This book grabbed me from page one and didn’t let me go until I was finished reading. I needed to know what happed to them. It was a beautifully written story and I can’t wait to see more in the Scars series.
