Out of rage Gavin broke an agreement that was never be broken and set a series of events in motion that nothing could stop.

Brooke would be forced to witness things that would test her love for Gavin. Could she accept the fact that the “man” she’d fallen in love with was the very creature that had damned mankind, seduced sin from woman’s heart, and who was also a murderer of innocence?

Hunted by demons, sought after by the devil; Gavin would do anything to protect her – even if it meant the entire world would be slaughtered to keep her hidden. Being forced to fight his internal demon, he would learn just how tempting Brooke was and would have to learn to control his innate need to kill.

An eternal creature faced with an end. A mortal trapped by fear and love. Two souls bound by a prophecy that only one person knew the ending to. They say love has waged many wars, but the battle stemming from the love Gavin and Brooke shared was one that would bring death, destruction, and eternal night to everything in existence.

About The Author
Oh, what to say?
I love writing (obvious since I'm on here, right?) I don't have a specific genre - I just write whatever story manifests its self inside my brain.

Writing is like therapy. There is nothing else that I can lose myself in the way I can a book - the way a well written story can take you away from reality and leave you in a dazed state once you've finished... that is unbelievable. I can only hope that whoever reads my work will be sucked into the little world I've created on the pages.

Aside from writing, I love sloths and mythology. I kind of have a thing for vampires, because let's face it, something about the fact that they have to fight the urge to bite your neck and drain the life from you is rather sexy. I have an irrational fear of the zombie apocalypse. I honestly cannot imagine a more horrifying way to go than by being ripped to shreds by a mass of mumbling, decaying, and oozing corpses with clicking teeth. Ugh! I just shuddered typing it.

Now the boring basics: I grew up in the south listening to a ton of grunge rock (I'm sure if you read my books you'll be able to guess who my favorite bands are). I wanted to major in theatre and creative writing but my parents refused to let me. They told me those weren't "reliable professions". Reliable? I'd just rather do something I enjoy!

When I hit 30 I decided to start a bucket list and publishing a book was on the top (followed shortly by meeting a certain celebrity). Proud to report I've accomplished both.

So, here I am with my first novel and working on the second one. The journey of writing Bound to the Fallen has been amazing and allowed me to meet many wonderful individuals.

I hope if you read my work that you will enjoy it. After all, writing is the most amazing magic trick of all... it puts the reader in the mind of the writer (kind of creepy if you think about it).

I hope you love my little world as much as I do.

Gabe silently thanked God his houseguest escaped into the shower as soon as she possibly could. The tour of the house had just about done him in. Isabelle’s oohs and aahs had been genuine, as had her love of his favorite room in the place. Unlike Naomi, who had taken one look at his apartment and immediately begun calculating how she could move in permanently, Isabelle, who he had invited, not only wanted to pay her way but she planned to leave as soon as possible. Not if he had his way. Back at the police station, outside in the rain, it’d been all he could do not to reach out and swipe his hands over her responsive nipples, feel her tremble beneath his touch, and get rid of the ridiculous distance between them. He might not know her well, but he’d always felt they’d connected. The physical attraction was obvious. She was all woman, supple curves, her breasts full and lush, and she possessed one hell of an ass. His cock twitched with the desire he’d felt from the moment he’d first seen her on Daltry’s arm. But things ran deeper. They’d shared banter and flirting during opportune moments when he’d caught her alone. He’d had glimpses of the intelligent, witty woman she was when not with that pompous ass. But not until today had he really seen beyond the exterior beauty to the depth beneath. Those sexy blonde curls that bounced wildly around her face were a proud testament to the fiercely independent woman she desperately wanted to be. The woman he intended to help her find. It wouldn’t be easy. Isabelle needed gentling. Understanding. Patience. Not his best traits, but when it came to her, he’d already exercised plenty. He’d bided his time, knowing Daltry would fuck up sooner or later. The balls that made him a crack financial investor also imbued an arrogance that would be his downfall. And it had been. It was Gabe’s good fortune that Daltry’s screw-up had landed Isabelle at his brother’s police station. Seeing her there had given him insight he wouldn’t have had otherwise. In Isabelle, he saw an intriguing combination of weary life experience and innocent ingenue. It was the innocence the most primitive part of him wanted to conquer, to possess. Since he'd begun running his father's empire at the age of twenty-one, the same age he'd been drafted into surrogate parenthood to his sister, he had always gotten what he wanted. And Gabe wanted Isabelle.

Excerpt from Poppy:

Everything on the guest floor was rattling from the bass of the music blaring throughout the rooms. I was sure that I had drank close to my weight in tequila alone, not to mention the amount of whiskey shots I had thrown back, but I was still standing and I was feeling good; no, better than good. I was feeling fan-fucking-tastic as I moved my body along with the beat of the rap song that was playing. I threw my hands in the air above my head before bringing them back down, trailing across my body as they went. Sweat was bedding across my collar bone as a few drops trailed their way down the valley between my breasts. The melody was enchanting me, making me move provocatively with every beat and I loved it.
Grinding my hips from side-to-side, I felt a large body step up to my swaying backside. Most guys were my height or barely taller, but whomever was taller than the average Joe. I continued to rock my hips from side-to-side as I spun around to face my dancing partner and smiled widely when I took in Riley’s large frame behind me. He looked sexy as ever; black jeans hanging loosely on his hips with a plain forest green shirt stretched tightly across his broad chest. He gripped my hips as I snacked my arms around his neck. When we had first arrived he disappeared, I assumed to get ready for the party but when he never returned I felt a sting of disappointment and turned to the liquor quickly.
I looked up at him through my lashes as I rubbed my body along his to the beat of the song. Riley’s hands were still gripping my hips as he rolled his large self along with my rhythm. My liquor induced bravery was taking control, and I had no desire to try and tame it. Riley’s hands pulled me gently until I was completely flush against him and I felt him straining against the zipper of his pants. I drew in a long heavy breath as he moved his hands around my waist and splayed one of them across my ass while resting the other on my back underneath my shirt. His skin was warm against mine. I closed my eyes and took in the feel of his hand moving gently up and down my spine as we continued to move against one another when I felt his breath tickle the side of my neck.
“Your dancing's as passionate as sin.” His words crawled slowly across my neck causing the skin to rise with goose bumps. I shivered and leaned forward to reply when I heard Jayde yelling for me to do a body shot from across the room.
“Come on, Poppy!!!!!! Body shots!!!” Here slurring voice called out before the next song started up and Riley took a couple steps back.
I watched his electric blue eyes darken just a little as I called back to Jayde and made my way through the crowd to the long bar that split the kitchen from the living room. I stumbled a little in the shoes I was wearing but surprisingly I wasn’t falling all over the place from the amount of alcohol I had consumed.
“Hop on up on the bar, it’s your turn!” Jayde spun around and pointed her index finger at my chest. She was so care-free and unbelievably funny when she was sober, but when she was drinking those same attributes about her seemed to grow even more. Jayde was a knock out! I envied her different colored eyes; one green and one blue. It was hard not to look back and forth between them whenever I spoke with her.
“Are you crazy?” I placed my hands on hips and laughed. “I’m almost as long as the bar, Jayde, and all of those alcohol bottles at the end will be in jeopardy if I jump up there.” I laughed again as I twirled my hand around in the air when I felt big hands latch around my waist.
“Up you go.” Riley’s baritone voice was at my ear, sending chills across my skin. I gasped from the unexpected contact as my bottom was placed against the cool wood of the bar.
“Keep your legs bent and you won’t knock anything off.” Cash suggested as he grabbed the bottle of tequila, salt, and a few lime slices. “Who’s up first?!” He held them up in the air.
“Me!” Jayde snatched the items from Cash’s hands. His eyes seemed to darken when she said it. I wasn’t sure if it was due to the fact that she was going to be taking a shot off of my body or the fact that he was head-over-heels in love with her and wouldn’t admit it.
“Where you taking it from?” I asked as I laid my body across the wood bar.
“Navel I suppose. It’ll hold the tequila the best.” Jayde shrugged as she plucked the top from the bottle. I grabbed the hem of my belly shirt and pulled it off. Apparently they weren’t expecting that because Cash let out a cat call that had me blushing and Jayde cracking up. Most girls would have been ready to scratch my eyes out if their man whistled at me like Cash had, but not Jayde. It was just another reason why I loved having her as a friend.
I was wearing a black laced bra that had studs running across some of the lace on the front of the cups. It was a pretty bra, one of my favs…and apparently a new focal point for Riley’s eyes. When he realized I was watching him watch my chest rise and fall, a wicked grin spread across his face. Yes, I had a good size chest. No, I wasn’t born that way. I was the girl that was overly tall but lacking in the boob department. Did I go overboard and get gigantic tits when I got implants? Nope. I went with a full C cup and mine didn’t look like the easy-to-tell implants. Hell, you couldn’t really tell unless I had on a massive push-up bra or you felt them.
Jayde poured the cool tequila into my navel and I felt my stomach contract from the feel of it. I took a lime slice and placed it in my mouth as she trailed a line of salt up my stomach and between my breasts. “Here goes nothing!” She called out just before she dropped her mouth to my body, licking the salt from between my breasts to my navel before she sucked the tequila from my navel swiftly. Her lips were on mine as she sucked the tart lime juice from the slice of lime resting between my lips. Jayde pulled the lime from my mouth and I sat up enough to brace myself with my elbows against the bar. We definitely had a crowd of observers around us then.
I looked over at Riley and felt my heart pick up the pace from its normal steady beating. His electric blue eyes looked like tiny lightning bolts were going off throughout them. I had never seen him look so intense before. It was like something inside of him was ignited and I was hoping I would find out just what that something was.
“My turn!” Cash stepped up but was quickly pushed back by Riley.
“I don’t think so lover boy.” Cash’s face fell. “She’s all mine.”
Those three words bounced around inside my head.
She’s all mine.
I knew he meant he was up next for the body shot, but the thought of it being something more was knocking loud and clear. I laid back against the bar and felt the chill of tequila fill my navel again as I slid a new slice of lime into my mouth. The grainy feel of the salt was back in the exact same spot as before. I took a deep breath to try and steady my erratic breathing and closed my eyes. There was no way I could watch Riley lick his way down my body, suck tequila from my navel, and drop his lips to mine. The thought of it was erotic enough, but watching him while he did it…that wasn’t anything I could handle.
His warm breath tickled the skin across my collar bone just before I felt his tongue make its way between my breasts, skipping the area where my bra came around, and continued down to my navel. My body was screaming for more as he sucked the tequila up into his mouth. The loss of his tongue and lips on my skin was devastating, but it quickly subsided as our lips connected, causing an unexpected moan to escape up the back of my throat. Riley squeezed the lime juice from the slice between my lips and discarded it onto the counter before bringing his mouth back to mine. The tart juice of the lime lingered between us as his tongue danced around mine, adding a hint of salt into the mix. The kiss seemed to go on forever, but forever wasn’t long enough when Jayde stepped into the mix.
“Whoa there, Riley! Give the girl some room to breathe.” She drunkenly laughed and Riley pulled his lips from mine as if I had burned him.
He didn’t say another word before he walked off into the crowd of people dancing and grabbed hold of some brunette that I didn’t know. I quickly looked away as I slid down from the bar and quickly put my shirt back on.
“Where ya goin’?” Jayde asked as she filled a solo cup and extended her arm to me.
“I need some air.” I fanned myself with my hand and took the Bourbon filled cup from her. I needed to cut myself off, but seeing Riley all over some girl not even five seconds after his tongue was down my throat left a bad taste in my mouth.

What People are Saying

Heather – Goodreads and Amazon

No Sophomore Slump Here!
Ms. Gayle has done it again. I just finished reading Finding Judgement and I loved it so very much. The first book in the series Finding Trust was great but there was an element missing for me and that was the villain. I didn’t get to know them to really get a good hate one..this time POW I got all that and more!!
This is the story of Rory and TJ. We met Rory in the first book and I loved him almost instantly. I am so glad book 2 was his! Rory met TJ briefly in book 1 and they re-connect in this book. The chemistry between them in very believable and not forced at all. The mystery kept me captivated and I lost a lot of sleep to see how everything would play out. The baddies in the book are super bad and I wanted to jump in there and kick a little but! Tom aka The Boss… love him! I hope that he gets a story because I would love to know what is really going on in that brain of his!
I was happy to see the whole cast of characters again and I loved that they had a big part in this story. I truly laughed, sighed and oh yes, I cried! I love a good mystery and I got it, I love a good romance and I got it and I love a great supporting cast that keeps you interested and I most definitely got it!
Thank you Ms. Gayle for putting out another fabulous book! When do I get me some Dylan?

Connie – Goodreads and Amazon

Great Series!
This is such a great series! After reading Finding Trust I have been anxiously waiting for the next book in the series, and it did not disappoint. When reading Finding Trust, I thought Brayden was sexy and hot, however, Rory is awesome. Rory and TJ were a great couple and their chemistry and romance was very believable. Rory was very caring and compassionate and took care of Pixie even when she resisted. There was suspense, romance, humor and action. It was wonderful reading about the characters from the first book and they added depth to the story. I highly recommend these books and can’t wait for the next one.

About the Author
I recently discovered those school vocational assessments are really interesting and probably correct! Who would have thought, hey? You see, I clearly remember taking one of those in Year 11 (for my US friends, I think that equates to junior year in high school). Anyway, semantics. Well, the results came back indicating that I should pursue a career in writing and something else. What that something else was I can’t remember but the writing thing stuck in my mind.

Sure, I’d always liked English and had already developed a ravenous appetite for romance novels by the age of sixteen—but who becomes a writer straight out of school? So to cut a long story short, I went to Uni and studied Business and ended up managing large-scale IT projects shortly after.

I can’t complain: it’s been a great career. I’ve done some awesome projects and met some incredible people and I won’t be giving it up anytime soon. Anyway, I’ve messed around with a couple of “secret” novels over the years and I finally decided to get serious and finish one. Hence “Finding Trust” came about. And about twenty years later, I’ve finally proved a vocational assessment correct, because I love writing!

As to some other stuff about me: I live on the Gold Coast, Australia. I love spending time with my family and friends. When I’m not sitting behind a screen playing with IT or writing, you might find me down the beach playing in the waves on a Jet Ski or a bogey board (both are uber cool). When the weather turns a bit cooler (doesn’t really happen on the Gold Coast), we like to head for the snow. I’ve discovered I have two kids who are kamikaze skiers—they must take after their father. He’s always at me to “release the handbrake.” Apparently I’d ski so much better. I call it a healthy understanding of self-preservation and gravity!

I like to think I can fit in a few workouts and martial arts classes each week. This tends to be a figment of my imagination more than reality, unfortunately. I am trying to remedy this, but those damn characters just keep demanding to have their stories told and, well, there’s always another good book to read!
I hope you enjoy mine.

Please drop me a line. I’m active on Facebook, Twitter, and via email Natalie@nataliegayle.com.au. I’d love to know what you think of my books and well, let’s be truthful—I love talking about books, whether they’re mine or someone else’s. Fiction is just so much more fun than reality!!!

Happy Reading

Natalie Gayle
