Ashley Piscitelli

Lucas Masterson has it all money, fame, and his dream job of being in the music industry. He knows that most people are just out for themselves and will use him as much as they can. When he meets Becca he realizes that he never really knew what he wanted. He thinks that she is the most amazing person he has ever met, but can he balance her and his crazy life?

Can two people who come from completely different worlds make it work or will the people trying to tear them apart succeed?

Get ready to get lost in this crazy romantic adventure and surrender yourself to Lucas and Becca.

Tonya's Review:

Surrender to Me: By Ashley Piscitelli (4 stars ****)
If you like a good romance story with a hot rock star and a broken girl, Surrender to Me is a great read for you. I fell in love with Lucas Materson, WOW… what a great lead character. He is a rock star who defiantly lives the rock star life, but does so with class. I was happy to read about a rock star male lead that wasn’t broken and living life on booze, drugs and sex (I mean there is sex…but not the obsessive-rock star-out of control-girl every night-kind of sex). It was a refreshing change to a loveable rock star storyline.
Becca Chase is the typical girl who comes from a broken home with a mother that is so far gone; she has had to fend for herself most of her life. She avoids most relationships like the plague and only has one friend to rely on, Jen Carmichael. Jen was a great supporting character for Becca, they are opposites but their friendship chemistry is amazing. You really get a sense of how awful Becca’s childhood was through Jen’s giving nature towards her best friend. Jen demeanor is witty and fun-loving to Becca’s guarded and shy style. I loved Jen’s foot-in-mouth scenes with Luke and Becca; they were laugh out loud funny.
Luke and Becca meet in a parking lot when his car battery dies and she is the only person around to help him. Luke is shocked that Becca doesn’t know who he is and is instantly drawn to her. He feels like he needs to find out why he is so taken aback by her, so he decides to take her to dinner to thank her for helping him out. Becca is reluctant at first to take the handsome stranger up on his dinner offer but he persuades her to go. That same night, when Jen takes Becca to the Lucas Materson concert, she realizes that Lucas Materson is Luke from the parking lot, who she agreed to go on a date with. Being her guarded, shy self, she isn’t sure if she should go out with him, but finally decides to take a leap of faith.

Excerpt:
When Jen gets back she has her hands behind her back and huge smile on her face. “What’s up?”
“I decided to get you something so you can remember your first concert.” She pulls a t-shirt from behind her back and my heart stops when I see the face on it. It’s Luke.
Their relationship is whirlwind romance with lots of sexual tension that is hot from the start. It also has its twists and turns and obstacles that try to tear them apart. Surrender to Me is a great story of love, trust, and forgiveness… with a whole lot of sexy rock star lovin! I can’t wait to continue Luke and Becca’s story!
