Where do I begin.....
I was excited to see Seth get a story after the way Dear Tabitha turned out. I really loved Seth and felt he and Tabitha may not have been the right match but he was not a character to be tossed away. In true Trudy form, Dear Juliet features an adoption story of Juliet who is given the best family imaginable when her 16 year old mother Lily, realizes that being a mother is just not in the cards for her at that time. Of course for Juliet, her focus throughout her entire life then becomes wondering why her mother did not want her and was it her own inadequacies that caused her to be given up. As a young child of around 10, her elementary school teacher gives all of the students in Juliet's grade an assignment to start writing letters to another classmate to remember what life pre-email was like for communication. Juliet gets Seth as her assigned pen pal. And from that day forward, they develop a friendship and bond that cannot be broken, not by time, space, other relationships, deaths or Juliet's discoveries about her past as she gets older. I really loved this book. While Dear Emily will always be my favorite and hold the most special place in my heart, this one touched some deep emotional places and I adored the bond that Juliet and Seth had- it was timeless and once in a lifetime. Five stars as always. One of my favorite series of all time.

"You're my first love, and I never had the courage to tell you. My love for you is pure, ageless. I knew it the first time I saw you bob for apples at your eleventh birthday party. I've known it all of our lives, and my love for you has grown as we have grown together, apart, and back together again." ~ Seth to Juliet
