Sassy, spunky full of humor, determination and spark...I loved Blue. This was actually my introduction to HJ Bellus books and I enjoyed it from the very start. The relationship between Blue and her parents is what you are first introduced to and it sets the tone for the determination of Blue.
When she gets the full ride scholarship to the school of her dreams to be a cheerleader, she thinks she has it all figured out- that things are going to be just as perfect as she imagined. Until things change. I did not see the twists coming and it was definitely an emotional read going forward. Tuck and Blue's relationship was one of literally beauty meets beast. He is a scarred (literally) and tortured soul and comes into Blue's life exactly when she needs him. The two of them connect over running and no matter how many times Tuck tries to push Blue away, she won't give up on trying to get to know him.
This book shows you love past the scars, beauty is not only skin deep, that people are not always what they seem and either is life. I loved this book and as soon as I can, I will be re-reading it. This is a definite 5 stars for me and highly recommended. I loved it.
