Wow! This is the first book I have read my M. Robinson and I can say it will not be the last. This book was very well written and sucks you in.
You meet Jacob and Lily who have known each other since they were very young. Jacob was there from the time she was born. Being seven years older than Lily, Jacob kept his growing feelings and desires for Lily locked away for years but they slowly seep to the surface and the complications start. Hearts are broken, feelings are hurt and trust is destroyed.
You feeling everything Lily feels every time Jacob hurts her and walks away. I love that you are taken back in time, to see each important moment in their lives. You see how they became the people they are in the present. You see the pain they both endure through their lives' journeys. You see both sides to their stories and learn to understand why and how events happen.
With this book you feel all emotions the characters feel and I love that.
What I loved was seeing their past and present actions. Seeing Lily struggle to let Jacob back in after all the pain he caused. She didn't jump straight into a relationship with him, she made him work for it. Seeing the love and new found loyalty from Jacob earns him some huge brownie points. He is swoon worthy and sexy. And together they are mind blowing. I enjoyed seeing how their friends and family react to certain situations it was funny at times. Cannot wait for the next book.
