“Let me call a cab quick,” Tyler said, reaching for his pocket.

I gently touched his arm and said, “It’s not too cold, let’s walk.  My place isn’t that far away.”

He looked me up and down and raised an eyebrow.  “Are you sure?  I don’t want to have to carry you half way,” he teased.

“Ha ha ha, I will be fine, and… I’m not wearing heels,” I snickered, lifting my foot and wiggling my toes as though if could see them.

He tried to hide his amusement.  “Okay, if you say so.”

We slowly walked downtown amongst the young crowds of clubbers.  I snaked my arm threw his and leaned my head on his shoulder as we walked.  He flinched at first, but then relaxed into me. 

We stopped in the park along the railing, just as we had the first night we went to the coffee shop.  I leaned into him, hoping he would wrap his arms around me.  I felt so comfortable and confident with alcohol running through me.  He shook his head and chuckled.  Sliding his fingers up and down my arms he said, “You’re funny when you are drunk.”

I pulled my head back and looked up at him.  “I am so not drunk yet,” I said seriously at first then let out a little giggle.  He smiled down at me, our faces nearly inches from each other’s.  His expression became serious, and his hands slowed running up and down my arms, stopping on my forearms.  I never wanted anyone to kiss me so badly.  I leaned up and closed my eyes, hoping he would get the picture.  I felt his nose touch mine then his mouth was on mine.  My lips were no longer tingling from the alcohol but tingling from the sensation of his lips working against mine.  I allowed his tongue access to my mouth as a slow low groan escaped him.  It was like he flicked a switch inside of me with his tongue.  I brought my arms up to his head and ran my fingers through his hair.  Our bodies flushed together, I noticed his arms were still at his sides.  Why wasn’t he touching me?

He slowed down the kiss and gently pulled away, keeping his forehead on mine.  I was still breathing heavy.

“I need to get you home,” his voice was raspy, with ulterior meaning.  I slowly opened my eyes and turned to start walking.  He took my hand and squeezed it, causing me to pick up my pace.  He wanted to be alone with me just as badly.  I could feel it in his kiss.

My eyes are glistening with tears as I scrawl my signature at the bottom of the letter, touch my fingers to my lips, press them onto her name and close my journal. I look over to my left where Kyle is softly snoring, sleeping soundly. I mouth the words “I love you” to him, touch his back lightly, put my journal in my night table drawer and turn out the soft light by my bedside. I curl my body into his, tuck my head into his chest and hold on tight.

I love this man with all that I am and I love the father that he is going to be.

My heart is full of hope.

Review: This was an unbelieveable book! I was so not ready for what was inside the pages of this one, that is for sure! Dear Emily starts out with a rape and ends in a shocking twist and everything in between will make you laugh, cry, fall in love, make you angry and break your heart. I absolutely loved it! We meet two women with two very different life paths in this book that somehow end up being each other's most important ally in life- Carly and Tabby. Carly's life is forever changed when she is 17 years old and raped as a freshman in college. Tabby is subjected to some not so great relationships that change how she sees herself as a person and a woman. Until they meet each other. You absolutely have to read this, no ifs, ands or buts. Read.It. I cannot WAIT for book two next Spring! Five stars times a million! <3 <3 Kellie

"Sarah, don't do this. Damn it! Stay with me." I reach over and gently brush her blood soaked hair off her forehead. Even in this horrific moment, I'm in absolute awe of how beautiful she looks. About the Author

I’m a 32 year old wife and stay at home mom to four kids under the age of five, including a set of twins. My life is crazy, which is probably why I drink entirely too much wine. Oh who am I kidding, I had a love affair with wine long before the kids came along.  I was born and raised in Savannah Georgia, but we recently moved to Chicago. Let me tell you, this southern girl was not ready for the cold weather up here! I’m an avid reader, but I haven’t always been that way. A few years ago my sister loaned me her Nook Color, and it changed my life forever. In the span of about two years, I read over 500 books. Through WZ Bookends, I've had the opportunity to meet some of the most amazing authors, bloggers, and readers out there. Amy's Review: Ok where to start.. This book is simply amazingly sweet. Loved Jessie & Beau. At 1st you think wow they can't fall in love that quick, and you just wait for the heartbreak, but guess what- it never comes. Beau loves Jessie with every fiber of his being. Jessie is Beau's world.
The story is amazing & keeps you gripped all the way through. Never a dull moment. You couldn't help but feel what Jessie & Beau were going through; he never let her go through any of it alone. I'm so looking forward to Finding Jessie.

We lay in each other’s arms for what seemed like forever, trying to catch our breath. My mind started to race and replayed our actions. That was without a doubt the best sex I had ever had. Not only was it hot, passionate sex, it was something else; something almost beautiful. I know I’m starting to sound like some kind of fucking poet, but it was amazing. The lines blurred as I drove down the highway. The rain pouring down the windshield mirrored my mood. I hurt like I have never hurt before. I felt lonely and devastated, not worthy. Not worthy of him or his love, of anyone’s love. 

The next thing I know I hear yelling. I try to get up but I can’t I realize that I’m tired up and lying on a hard wood floor. I open my eyes and don’t recognize my surroundings nor do I see Jessie. I then hear what sounds like gun fire and a loud thud. My heart stops and then tarts beating very fast. Where is my Jessie? What just happened?
