Sweet Southern Betrayal by Robin Covington Review

Sweet Southern Betrayal ~The Boys are Back in Town Novel~

– Review By Tonya N.
The boys are definitely back in town. I loved Teague and his boys! WOW! Hot Hot Hot. This book was great, it was my first read by Robin Covington, but it won’t be my last. I read Sweet Southern Betrayal as a standalone but this book is a part of the series “The Boys are Back in Town”. Trust me, I will be reading more about the boys ;) Sweet Southern Betrayal is about Teague Elliot, a hot shot attorney who is trying to make all his political dreams come true in Washington DC, all he has to do is stay on ball and keep his eye on the prize.
All hell breaks loose while he is away in Las Vegas for his sister and best friend’s wedding. Teague wakes up in bed with a mysterious show girl, Risa Clay. I loved Risa from the first page, she was spunky and loveable and their chemistry was great. The two of them make a pact to leave their night together in Las Vegas, and to forget about what happened, (which is okay, because Teague doesn’t remember much of it). The problem is he can’t seem to get this beautiful red head out of his thoughts.
After Risa’s has time to think about this handsome stranger she was paid to set up,  she decides to help him and ends up double crossing the mob boss, Big Tony. In her attempt to make things right she leaves Las Vegas and ends up on Teague’s doorstep in Elliot VA where she drops a huge bomb… they are married.
Through the twists and turns, Teague and Risa learn nothing is as it seems. In love and politics there is always betrayal, but is Teague and Risa’s relationship truly a farce or something more? Can he change his well laid out plans to include his new wife? I loved Sweet Southern Betrayal and give it 4 stars! I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
